one page heathen,

rice out yo vita banana.

BoF4 Looks superb.
Get a 64 GB, brah, don't think about it, just go order it!

EDIT: TOP OF THE PAGE! Get:
Stick it to the man
Tearaway
The new Ys game
Sight.. Join the 100ppp club

I disagree, unless spending that much isn't a big deal. It's expensive, import only, and even more of a luxury item considering that the content manager allows such easy transfer/backup with a PC.

It's annoying having to use the content manager a lot, if you can afford it, then 64GB is the way to go

It's for the superior experience. 50 ppg just simply doesn't compare. It's where the cool guys hang out.

The main thing to take note off here will be if it's a port, a new game or an indie game.

I'd love some PS2 HD remakes but a new game is also good.

Wait, nvm

It's probably Type-0 or the new Tales game.

Same here.

Really gets confusing when the middle of the page has a top of the page recommendation for us 100ppp users.

Get over it guys. 50ppp 4 life! It's already killing my old ass smartphone right now, I won't add more posts with browser killing images.
I know I can deactivate them but than the conversation wouldn't be followable on gaf, too much happens in gifs.

If I don't turn off images, I hit my mobile bandwidth cap in 4 days. No joke. And I have 1.5 gb of bandwidth a month. Maybe I'm on GAF too much...

Instead of console wars, we have posts per page wars.
This is serious business. Why settle for 50 ppp when you can have 100% more posts despite the same forum? You can't spin this.

The feel of next gen.

I thought that too. Then I tried 100ppp. Never felt like going back.

We should have 125ppp, so both 50ppp and 100ppp people can be confused by recommendations.

guys, you need to use the Live Thread Extension
50/100 pp whatever the case is... it's so last gen

Blimey, it's really a thing! I thought y'all been messing with us.

I wonder if Vita will ever get PS2 classics support. Capcom vs. SNK 2 just got released and I want to play it at work.

This was heavily discussed in a previous thread here on GAF and it was quite conclusive that it is not possible due to PS2 games hardware demands to be emulated.

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?p=56843112

And with all that Gaikai stuff, I'm almost positive Sony is not even thinking about it.

Well, at least that leaves room to still get some PS2 games as ports. I wonder which one will follow the GoW HD collection.

I suppose Shahid's tweet is about a port. I'm not sure he has the rank to even ask a (big) japanese developer for a new entry (and anyway, Sony has no voice on those) and I'm also not sure he knows that many japanese indie developers.

I certainly hope it is Type-0. Just get us that Shahid and you'll be forever on my whitelist no matter what you do.

Edit: Or perhaps he is convincing SE to use those DQ VIII smartphone assets to bring the game to Vita @_@??!!

I don't understand why PS2 Classics don't support remote play like PSone Classics do on PS3.

It wouldn't be as ideal as native support, but remote play would be better than nothing and certainly better than streaming from a server.

I'm warming up to the idea that Spelunky is easier to go through the entire game in one go. I just attempted the daily challenge for today and made it to the final boss before getting fucked over by an exploding frog that jumped down the hole I was in right when I was at the bottom and about to beat the boss. God that final boss is so luck based. You've got to hope the enemies the boss spits out don't jump down the hole with you at any point. If they don't the boss is easy. If they do you're screwed.

Please don't try to pretend it isn't easier to beat the main game with shortcuts than without. Yes it's true you don't generate as much cash or items, but it's also a hell of a lot easier to beat an individual world than beat them all at once. That fourth world is going to fuck you over so hard regardless of whether you used shortcuts or not. But at the end of the day it's easier to beat one world than four in a row, and less time is wasted/there's less frustration.

Ehhh, I'd say it's debatable (and I've seen people defend both stances) whether time is best spent on shortcut runs or a full run. Of course, at the beginning shortcut runs are essential for learning world 4's many, um, attractions and how to deal with them. I personally think that it's still better to do shortcut tries than a full run, but I'm not so clear on the subject and I've seen it defended both ways (a jetpack should make Olmec much easier, for example, as would a ton of bombs, and you can't get either in world 4 as there's no shops).

(1) I've said it earlier when I had this discussion and I'll say it again. Exchange rate for everything has no bearing on the argument.

You can say it as many times as you want, it doesn't make it any truer :P. But even if it did, there's lots of titles that are on sale on the US while full price in the EU, we're just used to it.
In any case, this discussion isn't particularly interesting and is not worth arguing about, so I'm ready to drop it.

Do you still get 5 Vita games? Yes?

That's a little less clear-cut than it seems. Currently we got:
Uncharted (yearly)
Gravity Rush (yearly)
Stealth Inc (previous months, it still lingers apparently according to PS3Trophies).
Sonic Racing (this month)
Liberty City Stories (this month, PSP)
Guacamelee (this month cross-buy, note it takes one PS3 slot, as the only other PS3 monthly is Grid 2)

So depending on your definition, we have anywhere from 3 (strictly Vita this-monthlies and yearlies) to 6.

But I guess in the long run, it doesn't matter, since it's just "how long til the next 2 titles swap in?". :P

That would be the case if there were not going to be any yearlies and/or they were going to be the same amount from now on; otherwise, you still technically get more games than we do. :D

Unfortunately not. They are looking into it and if it comes to worse you could always remote play it from the PS4.

Considering that a) I play the Vita on the subway, b) I don't have a PS4, that's not exactly a possibility for me :D. Plus I'm not sold on this remote play thing yet, especially over the internet.

Hey guys, my Vita has a pretty noticable scratch on the front glass, is there any way to get this fixed short of sending it to Sony for $125. x_x

How deep is it? Mine was noticeable but not too deep. I made a toothpaste/baking soda mix and did a bunch of circular passes and it seemed to work.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NmUZ-POzpsg

Here's a video that I generally followed. The key for me was doing some passes, letting it sit for a bit, then wiping it off. Then I repeated that about 5 times and I can't really see it unless I hold it up to a bright light and get it at just the right angle. It doesn't do that annoying rainbow scratch thing anymore.

Hope that helps!

After a year of owning a Vita, I just ordered P4: Golden. Gonna see what the hype is finally about.

Yeah, I'm starting to get interested in this title. I had no interest in it when I got my Vita, but the praise is so strong. It's relentless.

I still don't know, however...

It's not gonna be an indie game or else Liege, Soul Saga, and project phoenix would have already been used to satisfy jrpgvita.

did they add daily challenge to speluky on ps3/vita?

It's definitely on Vita, yep.

Is the Flow port of Vita motion/tilt controls only?

I find it very cumbersome and annoying, rather use the analogs.

They have an option for touch controls which is actually pretty good but takes a short while to figure out.

Two fingers on the front, two on the back. Turn fingers like a steering wheel, but both up and both down to go up and down. One finger off the back to slow down.

64 gb card

heres the way i see it:

is you current card nearly full of legit owned games?

if yes, then time to upgrade card size.

if no, and your card is mainly full of PS+ free games, you don't need a new card.

also, finally changed over to 100pp a few days ago - can't believe it took my years to do it...taking getting used to, but i like it.... thread moves way slower

Game Suggestion: Killzone Mercenary - it's a great game through and through even if you're not much of a FPS or MP fan. or killzone even ( this is my first KZ)

It uses tilt/touch control only

Should have offered options. Disappointing.
Thanks btw.

I'll try that then. It's baffling why it's tilt only.
Thanks.

wow come to think of it my purchase of a 64GB wasn't that smart. I only have P4G as my only cart, but my other games are all psone/psp/PS+ free games. It was mostly just to have things over with, should a 128GB drop I won't be needing that, but at the same time 32GB might be too little.

The factor that pushed me into getting it is that I can easily stroll into a store, plop down $90, and have it there immediately. The alternative is a 32GB for $70. So the $15 incremental cost wasn't too much of a factor.

I would hyperventilate if this happens. God Hand and Shinobi on a handheld, wow
