Most angry you have ever been playing a videogame?

For me it was while playing Mortal Kombat (the recent one) online. I was playing very competitively, and the sole idea of losing an online ranked match made me pissed. Looking back at it I realize how dumb it was haha. Anyway, it was pretty much win after win for me, but then I got matched with one random fucker who was like my nemesis. It wouldn't have been too bad if I lost in a fair game, but this guy knew a way to make the opponent's character glitch and you'd freeze, leaving you open to be ridiculized. He did this to me and I got so fucking mad, I stood up and threw a punch at the wall. The wall was made out of drywall, so part of my fist went through it.
I left that hole in there to remind me not to ever get mad at something so ridiculous lol.

What about you? What's the most a game (or someone you've been playing with) has pissed you off? What did you do?

Halo 3. The BR's spread was pretty awful and when it was combined with the netcoding of that game, it made for some very infuriating moments.

DotA or Heroes of Newerth, easily.

I am finally over the raging stage though. It took me like two years.

Something about MOBAs makes rage seethe forth like no other genre.

Recently... Probably getting killed by someone with 1 health in battlefield 4 due to getting one shot by them due to the bug, after unloading on them before they even see me.

Not too long ago it was the riku 2 fight in kingdom hearts final mix on proud mode.

Oh and the battlefield 4 server crashes.. Losing the stats for 53-0 games etc.

I don't go nuts and break shit.. Not even when i was younger.

I usually just yell "fuck" or "well shit" and move on.

(In profound sadness)

Just last week, I was replaying Super Stardust HD with the Dualshock 4. Passed my old 70 Million record. No lives lost. 9x multiplier. Huge score.

Then I pull my USB out by accident, and the game doesn't pause. Lose my shield, crash into an enemy, lose my 9x multiplier, lose a life, and destroy my amazing run.

Still managed to get 150M in the end, but it would have been higher.

I raged punch my arcade stick, breaking the front plate and cutting my knuckles pretty bad... Never done anything like that again cuz it's just dumb...

Dead or Alive 1.

Super cheap AI and the final boss made me want to stamp on my console, granted I was younger but the emotion was real. Shit made me real angry, fits of yelling and cursing and just sheer determination.

It was hilarious looking back on it.

I threw my controller on the floor after losing one race in Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition TOO MANY times. I was about to hit the finish line when a random bus going in reverse smashed into me (scripted). Also, I screamed at my TV when I first beat Alma in Ninja Gaiden vanilla. Took me 20+ tries, lol.

Funny enough, I ended up becoming a highly ranked player in NG in the end.

strange i can't remember any specific incidents but usually i get pretty upset when playing an RPG and end up dying because of a long string of very unlikely occurrences in a row.

The Tomb of Giants in Dark Souls pissed me the fuck off. The game went too far with that level. It was too sadistic. Later I found a shortcut that let me skip most of it so it's not so bad anymore.

Playing WoW PvP. Threw my chair at the wall and made a large hole in it (the wall broke away) and broke my £810 TV.

WoW arena a few years back. It was so stressful trying to maintain a high rating with a less than optimal team makeup.

Alundra or Dota 1... has to be one of the two.

In Alundra I had just recently had a very bad break on my ankle, was going through *alot* of stress with my GF at the time too. That and I had just moved to alaska. Combined all that with the pushing block puzzles of alundra... and well. I ended up throwing the controller (only time ever) which I think the GF though I was insane.

Dota 1 is pretty self explanitory.

Most recently the frogger-style hacking minigame in Assassin's Creed Black Flag.

Hoooly fuck whoever thought that was a good idea deserves a punch in the face.

I pretty much stomped a PS2 controller into dust.

I was playing NCAA 06 or something. My Purdue team was coming off a Rose Bowl win the year before and going for a national championship. I was in a tight battle with Northwestern that went to overtime.

They got the ball first and missed their FG. It hit the upright and bounced out. I should have got the ball. Instead the CPU gets it back for a second time in a row. Of course they make the FG this time and I lose without ever seeing the ball in OT.

Controller was destroyed about 11 seconds later.

Many fighting game bosses hold a special place in the black recesses of my heart, SNK and Namco bosses in particular. I have to find my happy place before the fight and stop after 30 minutes so I don't get punchy with my expensive toys.

I find I hear a lot of rage in First Person shooters. Don't feel it so much, myself though.

I did get pretty damned pissed when someone invaded me with dark souls, was glitched in some way that they could do an infinite dragon roar and knocked me off a cliff with that gayness.

Also another time in Dark Soul's, when me and a friend were in the same world. This guy invades, my friend and I go up to him, beat the living daylights out of him and stab in the back, but he takes no fucking damage whatsoever. We weren't low level either. The guy actually truly sucked at the game too, he could not hit us(Neither of us use shields, so we are dodge builds). After awhile we ended up having to dashboard out of the game because the guy was literally glitched to be unkillable. That kind of shit pisses me off.

Hm.. One time back around 2007 I threw my wireless mouse across the rooms, shattering it because my team had lost an arena match on WoW.

Sometime before that I smashed a PS2 controller on the race against Riku to name the raft in Kingdom Hearts.

I was a troubled young man.

Domination in MP4, tied the record 3 times in a row.

The pain in my bleeding nail was nothing compared to the rage I felt. I ran outside and rolled around in the 5inch deep snow until my urge to kill something went down.

Kirby tilt and tumble when I was young.

That little pink fucker wouldn't go where I wanted him to go so I smashed the GBA against my forehead which broke the screen completely. Then after realizing what I had done I took the cart and shoved it behind my dads car so when he went to work the next morning he would crush it.

More recently.

Vanquish God Hard run, the train station portion thing where you have to briefly walk out to get the train to keep moving by planting two charges. I died for 2 hours there, I got so mad I yanked my controller too hard while it was charging and snapped the USB mini side of the charging cable.

First time playing Dark Souls. I got it on it's elease for PC, and didn't know about the Durante fix at the time. Playing with a controller having the keyboard prompts showing was a pain. Then going into the graveyard thinking I had to go there ticked me off. I hated that game so much. Now I love it

Most recently, COD Ghosts online, easily.

As far as a single player game, Dark souls has some pretty rage inducing moments, but nothing beats Ninja Gaiden on Xbox. I actually broke a controller playing that game out of sheer anger. Went on to complete master ninja though.

Any fighting game online when I haven't played much of the game.

WWE2K14. I had little idea how to play it and the counter icon was the most infuriating thing I have ever seen.

My Girlfriend at the Time Erased My Saved Game Data for Tomb Raider On the PS1. I was about 85% through the game.

I broke up with her on the Spot..... Kicked Her Right out of My house!!!!

BACK DOOR!!!

Call me Dana if you read this.......

I want to tell you I'm still Pissed

Maneaters in demons souls, that fight forced me to break my controller. I couldn't focus on anything else in my life while I kept losing to them. To this day those fuckers were the only boss I couldn't beat solo on my first play through in the souls series.

I don't understand how people can break their own things though, I could never wrap my head around that.

I don't look for things to throw when I get mad.

It has happened twice. Whenever I play a JRPG and go a long time without saving. Get to a boss or a random strong enemy. Lose and realize that all that hard work is wasted. I usually stop playing for about 2-3 days.

I have more ragequits per game in CODG than in any other COD and any other game. Even within the context of linear map design, the spawns are absolutely atrocious. The amount of battles I have that actually involve face to face combat where opposing players must actually be sought out using map knowledge in CODG must be less than 20%. (This is coming from a high K/D player.)
