Thuway claimed the Bioshock games were coming to ps4, so at least we can remote play them in the future

but

Ken_Levine-660x350.jpg

Ken said new ideas not remote play.

I think you can just download the online pass to unlock online in your bubble.

Thanks! That's exactly what I was hoping for. :)
My 16gb card is getting full of all the plus games, and I don't want to store a game, that I have a physical copy of. ^^

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy!
Getting hyped on this one. Be it on the 12deal sales, or on PS+ (because the quoted comment is from the PS+ blog post), I'm soo getting this. But I still haven't finished my current P3P playthrough. :(

I played the Rainbow Moon demo, and while the game is not my cup of tea, GOD it feels so good to play a 60fps game on Vita.

The UI and music are also great, I wish I could get into it. Oh well.

re-downloaded blazblue... i have an aversion for non-SF fighters but i'm in the mood for some nice 2D visuals and the 4 button controls are very attractive... 6 button demands a stick but 4 i can manage on a controller

i don't know any of the characters. anyone play like Guile? or any easy to pick up fan servicey girls?

so Bioshock infinite Vita Edition incoming?

we know it won't happen

ehh no thanks, BI wasn't all that fun

wouldn't mind a Stories from Rapture, though

Wow, the content manager is amazing. Connect to PC via wifi, save, transfer, done.
I'll certainly give you the convenience of that. However, I can't get my PC to recognize the Vita via USB. It's odd, to say the least.
As long as Hotline Miami 2 is still coming to Vita, I don't care what else happens. I'll just play that for the next 10 years.
Couldn't have said it any better myself. I platinum'd the first one and still play it all the time!

How are we still getting blessed with fantastic games on the Vita when SCEA is doing their best to kill the system?

Binding of Isaac is coming early next year which will justify the purchase by itself.

cannot wait for that and La Mulana. Vita will be complete after I have both of those.

SCEA abandoned the system long ago. then Vita owners abandoned buying the new good games and just waiting for PS+ goodies. a super deadly combination.

Super Crate Box plays awesome on Vita. Loved that game on my laptop but keyboard controls jacked me up...

So I'll be buying a Vita for GF dearest. Gonna grab her a copy of Tearaway and PS+ so we both play each other in Sonic Racing Transformed together. Should be tons of fun. I'm excited.

I'm also gonna get her Powerstone Collection. That's our game!!!!

At least in NA. It's still showing signs of fitful life in Japan (though GE2 should have moved WAAY more systems than it did) and if it can cling to life long enough there then there's always a chance we get some of the dregs of development here in NA as well.

That and Shahid constantly harassing indie devs to put cool stuff on the system like BoI and Rouge Legacy...

We'll never see another game the calibre of Tearaway (thanks to it only selling 14k....) but all is not lost.

See! I knew I couldn't be couldn't be cynical about it forever!

woah we're getting La Mulana on Vita?

the indie love fest on Vita is the greatest thing ever. throw in remote play don't starve and im all 😍

super adorbs

It is hard to sell Vita software when no one carries it. Best Buy and Gamestop both have pathetic selection in stores. Was thinking of picking up Sorcery Saga, but neither had it.

Reasons like that is why those brick & mortar retailers are getting their asses handed to them by amazon. Must be a total chicken & the egg situation for them to some level.

It's really awkward that I have 40 dollars on my PSN account and nothing to buy. Is there anything even coming up? I was about to get doki doki but the reviews are kind of confusing me about the legs of the game. Other than that I don't see much coming up for me to buy other than maybe Curry God, but I'm not sure how that is, either.

Your're awesome!

Meanwhile, I'm trying to grab my lass' Vita to play some jp things without the hassle of switching accounts on mine.

If it's the grind that's getting to you when I started the PS3 version I did easy and had a few bucks laying around in my wallet so I did some start pack as well which I think made the game more enjoyable to me.

what games do you have?

I need a quick and dirty rundown on all good action games for Vita or PSN PSP. GO!!!

off the top of my head...

Dynasty Warriors Next
Ninja Gaiden Sigma PLus
Dragons Crown
Muramasa

eh, games take time & money to create/port

dunno how that's a bad thing

agreed - i think 2013/2014 is a little difficult because i'm sure there were a bunch of games in pre/production, but after the launch / first year teams began to cut their losses and bail out, leaving a hole in the release schedule. Also, why there has been a mad dash to get indies. That hole needed plugging fast and indies have that quicker turn around rate. I mean technically, if things went as planned, we should have at least bioshock and resident evil on the vita by now too - but those release dates needed to be filled, which does take time.

I'm thinking we'll see another wave of support coming late 2014/2015, with this indie stuff and localizations filling up the release calendar gaps.

we'll start hearing of 2014 releases come Jan/Feb.

He also said good gameplay in Bioshock Infinite. And we all know what happened about that.

Man, gameplay in Bioshock Infinite wasn't that bad. Gunplay was decent enough, I liked using skylines and tears. There were some cool plasmids and plasmid combos too.

The biggest letdown was the level design. After Biohosck whose levels felt way more like and old school shooter (not as labyrinth, but there was exploration) we got a cinematic corridor FPS. One with awesome music, artistic direction and a pretty cool story (I love the ending) but a corridor shooter, sadly.

Reasons like that is why those brick & mortar retailers are getting their asses handed to them by amazon. Must be a total chicken & the egg situation for them to some level.

Yes. Lower prices + better availability (I need to take 2 buses to go to the nearest GameStop, for example) + niche titles on store = sales. With Amazon I usually don't even need to buy second hand games.

And GameStop / GAME / Fnac webpages are not better, IMO. Both GS and Game have sames prices at retail, and using Fnac for day one buys is the worst.

I had to pay the delivery (in Amazon I have Prime and I get games day one with free shipping) and they didn't even worried to bring me the game. I didn't left home during the day it was supposed to arrived, and they sent me a email in the afternoon saying that I had to go to my nearest post office to pick up the game.

I'm okay with continued support with indies and occasional big titles.

2014 will have some great indies for the Vita which aren't really ports.

Heads up to fellow Vita JP gamers. Apparently, Sega will have a sale next week for some PSP titles.

1890yen→500yen Sakura Taisen 1&2
2600yen→980yen Seven Dragon 2020
5600yen→2000yen Seven Dragon 2020-II
1700yen→500yen Shining Hearts
2600yen→980yen Shining Blade
1700yen→500yen Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity (warning: not compatible with Vita)
2500yen→980yen Senjou no Valkyria 3 Extra Edition (Valkyria Chronicles)
2600yen→980yen Kurohyou 2 Ryu ga Gotoku Ashura Hen (Yakuza Black Panther 2)

Not sure what the source is, but the PS Store does say them (sale is not yet in effect).

I am damn happy just for Senjou no Valkyria 3 alone. I bought all the DLC missions with stories when they were on sale, so it's always been on my "buy-sooner" list. Thinking whether I should get Sakura Taisen 1&2.

P.S. There's also a "campaign" right now for Project Diva f DLC pack (3000 yen to 1500yen). I'm not really sure if this "campaign" is just for promotion or if it's a limited time sale since the store description does not say.

Hah, you guys make me feel so dumb. I bought Terraria back on Steam ages ago (granted, for only like 5 GBP), then saw Starbound was out and splurged all over that, immediately dropping 15 USD, then literally the next day Terraria exploded onto Vita and I had no trouble forking over 11.99 GBP.

For those two recent purchases I had spare kizash floating in my PayPal account so it doesn't hurt or anything, but still... not often I cave to such moments of impulse.

At least I feel good about donating to Chucklefish, as they seem really hard-working and supportive of the community. Someone mentioned that they could bring it to Vita... which I'd probably buy as well xD
Hey, as long as YOU think the games are worth what you paid for them, who's to judge? :)
Also helps to have spare money heh. Would be VERY tempted if I hadn't spent so much last month with Tearaway, Ys MoC LE and a couple of PSP games

I'm okay with continued support with indies and occasional big titles.

We'll probably get a nice amount of Japanese games as well

Dear Sony:
LET ME MAKE MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS ON MY GODDAMN VITA ALREADY!

Question for the Vitabros in Spain (I asked several pages ago, but it got lost): what's this Tadeo Jones game? Is it strictly in Spanish? If so, has anyone played it, and would it be easy enough for someone whose knowledge of the language is limited to figure out? Oh, and are there any Spanish game stores that ship internationally?

It's based on a film produced by Mediaset Spain called Tadeo Jones. It's something like an Indiana Jones parody. I've done a small research only for you, and it seems:

The game is decent, the spanish sites where I see it reviewed give the game between a 6.5-7. It's a rather simple 2D platformer with jumps, some puzzles / minigames, a few enemies and not much more. They say it's fairly easy.

The game costs 29.99€ here in Spain. It lasts around 6-8 hours (one sites says 2-3 hours, WTF?!) and is aimed at a kid audience.

You may use Amazon. It has a spanish brand, so it'll be posible. The story is more like an excuse, as it seems, so don't worry about that. And I can solve your doubts if you want.

What's the best travel case for the Vita? Now that I have one, I'm planning to get a screen protector, but it would be nice to have a travel case too.

If it's the grind that's getting to you when I started the PS3 version I did easy and had a few bucks laying around in my wallet so I did some start pack as well which I think made the game more enjoyable to me.

Interesting, I'll try playing it again to see if I cange my mind. I hope I do.

Nice, thanks! Amazon Spain apparently doesn't ship games to North America, but I'll keep looking for someplace that does.

Ah goddammit. I JUST bought VC3:EE off Yesasia because of the fan translation news. I guess it's fine, since there's no way I would've been able to get a PSN JPN card in time for the sale anyways, based on how long it takes for these things to ship from Japan.

On an unrelated note, I did some really quick figuring. If we assume that the Vita's sold, say, 15k every month in the U.S. (I think that's what the June number was roughly?) except for November (75k), that's 225k Vitas sold in the U.S. this year. At 15k or less, that means no more than 7% of Vita owners this year bought Tearaway. SEVEN PERCENT. And that's without even including Vita owners from 2012. For all the talk about Vita owners buying more games and having a higher attach rate, not even Vita owners bought Tearaway and it's arguably the best Vita game we're ever going to get.

Great OP, I really appreciate the game descriptions and screenshots, especially given how obscure a lot of this stuff is.

Those FFX shots are almost making me forget how much that game and its absurd story bugged me. Looks really great.

so Bioshock infinite Vita Edition incoming?

we know it won't happen

Infinite is in reference for the total amount of time we need to wait until we get some screenshots

I can't believe you guys are still discussing Bioshock Vita. At this point, I don't even know if Borderlands 2 is still happening.

Damn Terraria robbed me of my sleep (after waiting for NPD leaks already did). Feel like a boss after crafting a gold pickaxe, mining is so fast now and fighting is also good with it.
Only sucks that now I feel the insatiable need to upgrade my axe and hammer because everything takes so long with them but I don't want to craft shabby silver ones I'll replace anyway.
I have read that there is better than gold

Got my little town going with a merchant and a demolition expert. Still no boss fight but I found the corrupted land. Could deal with the eaters if soul with my gold bow but am still afraid to explore it further.

1890yen→500yen Sakura Taisen 1&2 (if you can read japanese)

2600yen→980yen Kurohyou 2 Ryu ga Gotoku Ashura Hen (Yakuza Black Panther 2)
.

Seventh Dragon 2020 wasnt too bad the second one is pretty much the same as the first gameplay wise and worth picking up if you liked the first.

Nice to see them doing an actual real sale rather than the usual 1000 yen off here and there stuff.

I don't think there's a lot of charge characters in BlazBlue, at least if that's what you mean by play like guile. If you want someone with a projectile and an anti-air, there's probably a bunch to choose from.

Quick internet search says Noel has something like his flash kick. She's also got guns, so I think she might have a projectile -- she was top tier in one of the versions of CS, I think, so maybe start with her?

I'm a fan of Ragna, Jin, and Valkenhayn, personally. I love Hakumen's design, but his playstyle/moveset just never clicked for me.

Dynasty Warriors Next -- MUSOU
Ninja Gaiden Sigma PLus -- 30FPS
Dragons Crown -- BRAWLER
Muramasa -- ACTION

Muramasa and the Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus games are the only straight up action games on the platform (playable on Vita) as far as I know.

Muramasa plays like the Dishwasher games on XBLA -- sort of a 2D DMC/NG/etc. The Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus games run @ 30fps (at best), so that could be a problem depending on how big of an action game fan we have.
God of War isn't usually heralded in the same league as DMC/NG/Bayonetta/etc., but there's the 2 PSP God of War games (Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta). The God of War HD collection is supposedly still coming.
