re-downloaded blazblue... i have an aversion for non-SF fighters but i'm in the mood for some nice 2D visuals and the 4 button controls are very attractive... 6 button demands a stick but 4 i can manage on a controller

i don't know any of the characters. anyone play like Guile? or any easy to pick up fan servicey girls?

BB is a very technical fighter, with a wealth of varied character mechanics and systems so it's not as easy to get into like SF style games.

But it's very pretty and it's alot of fun once you finally figure it out. I mainly play Tao, Bang and Platinum. Tao is rushdown, Bang is gimmicky and Platinum is random bullshit like teddie from P4A.

I dont know about fan servicey but nearly all the females besides Tsubaki are pretty absurd in their designs. You might like Makoto, the squirrel girl, her playstyle sorta mimics Dudley's from SF4.

Because the vita sold worst than shit in the month that have nice sales going on and the biggest high profile AAA exclusive game since forever? Why bother?

The vita is profitable for Sony, and making some money is better than no money. Ports & indie games doesn't involve much financial risk for Sony, that's why we're getting Borderlands 2 instead of a exclusive game

No information about it at all since its initial announcement in August.
It's annoying that we haven't seen it yet, but I really doubt they've cancelled it. Sony's focus is on these small investment titles, since they won't lose much money if they bomb

Do we know who's working on the port? Certainly not gearbox right?
Sony's Third Party Relations Team is working on this port(or hired someone for this port)

It will come eventually, don't lose hope.

VITA will go out with a big bang next year. We will be getting

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD
Final Fantasy Type-0(Hopefully)
Disgaea 4: Returns
Criminal Girls Invitation
Soul Sacrifice Delta
Freedom Wars
Toukiden
Atelier Rorona
Murasaki Baby
Danganronpa
Borderlands 2
Minecraft
Gravity Rush 2(Unless they can it)

and maybe a couple more niche localizations from Japan

To be honest, i will be more than satisfied for these games. I still have plenty of backlog to burn through.

Just got a VITA (4gig card) and P4G getting ready to start that since I just finished ZELDA: ALBW I am going to sell my copy of zelda since I completed it. I see 16 gig cards are 40 bucks at gamestop.

can I get by with a 16 gig card?

I can't afford the other ones.

my only problem with Borderlands 2 coming to vita... is that it's free on ps3 right now

i was super interested for the vita version before, but now...not so much.

i thought I just read about 40$ 32 cards somehwere.... anyways you can get by with a 16 card for a bit, but not at all if you play to go full digital, or even half digital. make sure you get PS+ too.

Murasaki Baby look amazing.

Going out in a blaze of glory.

Despite cratering with much force, I have no regrets about buying my Vita day one. It doesn't get the attention it used to, but it's a nice little system with a decent selection of games.

You'll miss it when it's gone, Dreamcast style.

really? anyone know?? I think I just missed that sale. I do have PS+ and have for a few months so I have some VITA games already.

pretty awesome.

There's still some indie games that were kickstarted and look amazing, coming next year on the Vita. If Shahid continues to work on more ports, I'll be happy.

It's such a shame they're now known as the Divekick guys. :(
They've done amazing work up until then...

What is it? I know most of the games in the list (and have very little interest expect Gravity Rush 2 and maybe Toukiden)... that one, I don't know though.

It's an adventure platformer by Ovosonico and lead by former Grasshopper dev Massimo Guarini. In it you lead a girl by the hand through a twisted nightmare world. Sounds kinda weird, but looks AMAZING

Project Phoenix, Cosmic Star Heroine, Lineage, Mighty No. 9 among others. But Indies will come eventually, i was talking about actual developer support.

Also i won't be surprised to see VITA getting the next Vanillaware game after seeing the sales of Dragon's Crown on VITA.

Would it be possible to put Android on Vita, given we had access to it's internals via a hack or something?

Man... I understood what you said, but let me say anyway: they too are developers.

It is funny that is really is a vocal minority that are interested in exclusive AAA experiences on the vita, seeing how awful Tearaway and Killzone bombed. Where is all those "We want AAA, original, not ports, fuck indies, that's not what I bought a vita for"?

Vita user base (or the lack of it) it is the weirdest bunch of all to make consumer research. We know that Nintendo users flock to Nintendo games. Xbox users likes FPS games. And we, vita users, are a community that buys a lot of games (as seen by the attach rate), but what games? Indies, ports, exclusives? It is truly fascinating.

I'm not sure if it bombed as hard as people make out. As far as I'm aware the numbers are retail only and a lot of Vita owners buy digital.

I think it is interesting that all the small to mid tier franchises are the ones that see success on the system. And I think they are the way to go. Western support for handhelds are not happening, 3ds included, so you may as well give up asking. Handhelds are good for Indies and Japanese games. If you don't like those, what can I say. Handheld gaming is not for you.

Leaked numbers supposedly show that digital was 60% of Tearaway's sales. If physical was 14k then Physical + Digital = 35k.

Does anyone still play Monster Hunter Freedom Unite? I decided to play it the other day after a long break and got addicted again. I'd love to play online (ad-hoc party app) with someone.

We can't really say how much those games bombed because many Vita users seem to buy stuff digitally, which does not get accounted for in NPD.

And the user base is small in the US, so selling relatively well wouldn't mean software even charts.

EDIT:

Oh, didn't know that. Poor Tearaway =[

I probably can't help much there - I'd be fine with $13 + shipping, but shipping internationally would run about $11 (and take forever).

I see. I have no issues with the time it takes though. Is it ok if I scour the web for a few days and get back to you if nothing comes up?

Thanks for everything anyway!

Divekick was great. The matchmaking was poor and therefore the online died out quicker than it deserved to. The actual gameplay was fucking fantastic. More fighting games could learn from Divekick. Just don't take any lessons on the online matchmaking front or single player content.

Seriously, what's so good on Divekick? Isn't it that game where you only jump and divekick?

It looked boring as fuck.

The decision of "gonna make a game with only L, R and Start buttons, even for select characters, options and stuff" was beyond stupid. Hopefully they will patch that someday.

The game is quite fun.

Hahaha.

Not this shit again. It was annoying having to explain this to people like you before it came out. It was annoying when it came out. It's annoying this many months later. You decided you didn't care/didn't like it as soon as you heard the basic premise of the game. Explaining exactly why you're ignorant isn't going to change anything. You will remain close-minded. Lets all just accept that and leave discussions about Divekick to people who actually know what they're talking about.

I got rainbow moon and its pretty addicting, but there's not a lot of variety to what you do. I guess that's the nature of SRPG's though. And I'm only a few hours in, still with two members of my party.

I would say divekick is best played in a social setting. Solo it's kinda not that great.

Not that great is an understatement. The single player content is very barebones even by fighting game standards, and the AI is terrible. I've got no illusions about divekick. The single player was garbage and the online multiplayer sucked because it took too long to find matches. Not it's basically impossible since the online is dead. It's the core gameplay I praise and yes local multiplayer is very, very fun.

best handgrip i can buy from amazon?

I'm fond of the Nyko Power Grip myself, though I bought mine at EB for $25, not the $40+ I see it sold for on-line...

From 2006 to March 2011 PSP shipped 281 million units of software, with total platform software sales likely well above 300 million. That was largely achieved in an era before cheap PSN games, and PS+ freebies.

With a base of 75+ Million PSPs sold, that's a lifetime attach rate of a little less than 4, which is categorically ABYSMAL, especially for a handheld. The Atari Lynx had a better attach rate...

I bought 6 games for my original PSP. I'm better than the attach rate! For me I didn't buy many PSP games because the games were so expensive and I'd rather spend that amount of money on console games. Plus I hated the UMD format. But the few PSP games I did have I played quite a bit, plus I had a lot of PS1 games on it. I've actually bought more PSP games for my Vita than my original PSP. Vita is the only handheld where I've really felt the desire to buy a lot of games for it.

You said a lot of words and still haven't answered nothing. I've watched two guys playing the game and it didn't seem that fun or deep or anything you said. Like at all.

If you can explain why the game is great or deep, I can give the game a chance when it's cheap on PSN.

Playing it with friends was a blast, I know that.
