Super Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS Thread 3: Ridley's Believe It or Not!

Speaking of Pokemon, my 2DS and Pokemon X came in the mail today. I havn't played Pokemon since... one of the Red/Green remakes.

EDIT - Beat. Was gonna say F-Zero.

The real reason is because they aren't making any star wars movies anymore. There's a reason why they stopped after Revenge of the Sith (remake don't count). The star wars craze was over by then, lol.

Captain Syrup will course correct where this thread page is going.

And on her boat sailing towards Smash 4 include shipmates Dixie Kong, Palutena, and Krystal whether you like her or not.

Playing Mega Man X makes me hope that they'll break the "one stage per 3rd Party" and include a level based off the Highway Stage.

THAT's the most recognizable Mega Man level in any series for me.

key word is 'for me'

the most recognizable is going to be something from either Megaman 1 or 2

Every time I walk into this thread I see some Pokemon shit. Why can't we ever have Star Fox shit where we talk about which ending of Star Fox Command is canonical?
Didn't the developers confirm that they consider the ending in which
Krystal joins Star Wolf
to be the canon ending? That's what I heard, at least. :P

that doesnt discredit that it was a big deal
starfox 64 is my favorite game of all time i will fite u

Star Fox 64 is so amazing!
But I want a new Star Fox game dang it!

So I was wondering...Is Smash 4 not going to add any new gameplay/mechanic staples to the series?

Melee added the..pretty much everything. Side-B attacks, charged smashes, air dodging, directional attacks, way too much to list but you get the idea.
Brawl added Final Smashes and....tripping?
I guess Smash 4 is just gonna refine the previous mechanics and that's it?

Not that it's a bad thing, just thought about it a few minutes ago thinking how odd it was.
Brawl also added footstool jumping.

I'm fine, none of the reveals really phase me as I understand it's a daily update and there's going to be lulls of nothing jawdropping.

With that said though, Wario is today.

Every day is Hades.
If I say it, eventually it must become true.
What. They chose...that one?
Was that the one where Fox and Falco
join the F-Zero league
?
My memory is faulty as I haven't played it in a long time.

So, with that Spring release (supposedly) debunked...
What is everyone's predictions for releases (assuming the game still comes in 2014)?

I think Smash will be released in late Summer/early Fall, with Zelda U and
Metroid U
being holiday releases.

2020

Only on the Wii U Part Deux

I stand by my early belief, it's going to be a holiday release, an Autumn one at the earliest. I'd love to be served crow on this one, mind you.

I'd kind of prefer a later release date. It means waiting longer to play, but I want them to get as many characters in as possible, along with maximum amounts of balancing and polish. This game needs to be perfect!

I'm expecting either Smash or Zelda to be Nintendo's next big holiday release. A late summer release for Smash would be nice too, although more than a bit optimistic.

pfft you must be joking, 1/3 of the time its sun and 1/3 the time its rain
last 1/3 is with Rayquaza

I'm jealous of everyone who played through that gen with Emerald as their primary experience.

Also, as boss as Blaziken is (and would eventually become), a generation without Charizards and Arcanines is a generation without fire types. :P

Someone hasn't played vanilla Sinnoh. lol.

Funny that you say this, Ruby with no Sapphire, Emerald, Gen 1 remakes or link cables pretty much did its best to turn me away from Pokemon until the HG/SS remakes. I would wind up not even getting too far in the latter before Black and White were announced and with them, I was able to come back strong into the franchise.

I fucking love the Unova games man.

The secret to not being disappointed is to lower expectations.

For example, I expect a picture within the next 12 hours! I'm quite likely not to be wrong or disappointed with that prediction. :D
