we more than likely will get something this week, not because "this week is special" but because this is the longest we've gone without a charater reveal, altho its arguable that majoras mask and yellow devil were suppose to be the reveal this month
 
So guys, iyo, what's the worst pic of the day ever?

I'd say today's is probably up there. A 3DS pic, and yet another shot of one of the least fun looking stages. The one where he hinted at Ridley as a stage hazard was sad too though. :\

3DS can handle orchestrated music.
 
Don't see why it being a 3DS shot is a problem, this track looks like fun and it is a screenshot new stage mechanic i.e. new info. No way is it near the top of a worst daily shots list.

Seriously, hyperbole at its finest.

On the other hand, it also means that they don't have to limit the Wii U's version soundtrack due to 3ds cart limits.

And I don't think there's any confirmation that portable and console music will be split like the stages. They obviously aren't splitting characters. And how would they include any relevant Pokemon themes if they ignore the portable titles?

The Wii U version also has ripped assets (see the Skyward Sword stage)...

It revealed a new feature of the stage though. We've had many pictures before with absolutely nothing new.

What are the worst ones then? I know there have been some really pointless ones. It's more that another disappointment today made me think of it.

True enough about new info. That's enough reason to enjoy this shot. Won't stop me from preferring Wii U shots and thinking this stage looks annoying. I could be wrong, but I'd guess it'll work like Big Blue. Today's confirmation that the cars will move around and change only makes it worse. The aesthetics here don't do any redeeming either. :)
 
Well I don't get hyped up about daily shots so I don't have any disappointment in this. Also I like dynamic stages and this just seems to mean the cargo carriage disconnects and goes off screen and comes back with some cargo or lack of so the fighting surface changes a bit over time. Nothing obstructive.

How about the tunnel shot? That was a pretty pointless image.

Exactly this. It won't be like Pokémon Stadium stage on WiiU will feature no songs from BW or XY, that's just absurd. I also won't be surprised if, for example, the Fire Emblem 3DS stage features at least one song from a console game.

Nintendo just announced it on Twitter : a new Nintendo Direct will be broadcast tomorrow at 2PM (UK) / 3PM (GMT+1) / 6AM PST / 9AM (East Coast) / 11PM (JST). Will focus on upcoming Wii U and 3DS games up to Spring 2014. It will be a simultanous broadcast : Europe, Japan and North America will get their Nintendo Direct!

IF they didn't show anything related to Smash, then they might have Smash Direct next month. BELIEVE! :P

What limits? 3DS cards can hold 8GB, which is more than Brawl's capacity which had 300 tracks.

Come the fuck on, lol. It's on 3DS so automatically it's bad? The stage has a lot
more going on than most of the Wii U stagea, which look utterly bland so far, apart from SMG stage and Pilotwings.

Also, don't expect any Smash news tomorrow, unless the "leaked" Spring rumour is legit. (Despite Sakurai saying otherwise)
