New Nintendo Direct to be broadcast tomorrow (Now-Spring 3DS/Wii U titles)

Guys, I think I know what the problem is. We think the reason for our disappointment is all the hype right before a Nintendo Direct. And we think too much hype means impossible expectations. Now everyone's all scared of hoping, of hyping, because they think they'll be let down anyway.
I have a different theory. There's not enough hype. Think about it, there's no other way: Someone at Nintendo is reading all of this, and again and again they're disappointed with the level of hype, with our pitiful ideas, so they continuously let us down as a way of punishing us. Simply because we don't deserve it. They're trying to make us understand that. The appearance at the VGX was their most drastic measure yet, and it served to wake us up. And in their immense kindness, they still decided to give us Cranky Kong.

I say yes to believe. I say yes to hype. There's still hope, some of you here have the right idea, but the collective hype still isn't big enough. We can do better than this. No, we must. Wii U's fate depends on it. We know the alternative all too well: Nintendo will go 3rd party, Pokémon Snap will be released on Android platforms only, and the Zelda franchise will be bought by EA to serve as a cornerstone in their new and upcoming wave of full-priced f2p games featuring excessive microtransactions.

Yet not all is lost. If there's enough hype, we'll be rewarded. The games will come. I can feel it.

Last time something was hyped...for example the 3ds reveal, they rose the price lol.

I doubt this one will disappoint. It's showing titles for the first two quarters. I'm sure there is more than just Cranky Kong and Mario Kart for the first half of the year. And in either case, I'd love to see some more Mario Kart anyway because it looks so damn good.

It would be nice to see a full Yarn Yoshi trailer.

Hopefully we'll get at least one more 1st party retail release for Wii U in Jan-April ...on top of DK and Mario Kart 8 (hopefully).

I'm guessing a eshop surprise for release this week (maybe Wii Sports Club Golf/Boxing).

How interesting:

Old? That's a BIG amount of time for games (basically the next EIGHT months), talk about ANYTHING can happen! O_o

Nothing stops this train.

Of multiplatform games I'd really like Ultra Street Fighter IV announced for the platform. Also, Telltale is crazy to not support Wii U. Their games would do very well on the eShop.

You guys are getting hyped again. Fool me once Nintendo. It will be mostly Donkey Kong. If we are lucky some Mario Kart footage. In fantasy Nintendo world they will give the Mario Kart date, and show more Smash.

after every direct, isn't there a thread afterwards bitching about how it wasn't good?

either way, I hope this one is decent.

When they are good, we get threads talking about Wii U sales and how Nintendo is doomed anyway.

when they suck, we get threads about how nintendo doesn't get it and how they are doomed and should go third party.

im calling it. Bayonetta 1 ported to Wii U. F Zero GX HD. Gamecube VC (REmake REmastered in HD!). Mother Trilogy for 3DS. New Metroid for 3DS based off Super Metroid a la ALBW. Star Tropics U.

Did you guys ever go to primary/grade school or what?

The Australian PR says Autumn because we're on the other side of the globe.

You know that rock you live on? The one with countries and places to live that aren't in your hemisphere?

When it is Spring in the US/Japan/Europe is is FALL/AUTUMN here.

This is like grade 3 shit. Basics of life.

The tweet says that the email he got says August, not Autumn. I don't think anybody here is not understanding the way seasons down under work.

Blame the guy that tweeted 'August', we don't all get the PR emails.
