Like I said.

-Rhythm Heaven U
-Advance Wars 3D
-Punch Out U
-Kid Icarus Uprising HD
-DKCTF renamed Cranky Kong: The Game. Other characters removed from the game.
-Metroid 3DS

Seems legit

Dunno if anyone pointed it out yet, but there's scheduled maintenance for Wii Sports Club tomorrow shortly after the direct. I think we'll probably definitely see an announcement for Baseball and Golf (golf was seen in that one pic of Reggie before VGX)

Baseball would be amazing but I think that one hasn't been shown yet (aside from the early demo years ago). Golf seems the most likely since there have been numerous playable demos.

Good spot. I would dig that. Wasn't it alluded by Mr.Iwata that we'll see the remaining games by years end?

You're all mixed up.

LOL.

Excite Truck was pure, simple fun. Bots added a layer of crap on top of what would have been another great game. Personal opinion, obviously, but it ruined the game for me.

But getting off topic.

I would LOVE a new Excite Truck, though. I doubt it'll ever happen though. It seems like Nintendo doesn't know how to (or chooses not to) create a product without some sort of crazy gimmick attached lately. Sometimes it works in their favor, sometimes it makes people like me wish they'd spent that time on the core experience.

Realistically, I expect to see DK, Yoshi, Mario Kart, and MAYBE Smash Bros for the Wii U. The rest of the time will be devoted to 3DS. Hell, they may use Smash to segue to 3DS.

I'm expecting more lame Wii Sports/Fit updates and some more cranky kong nonsense. If I get some footage of Mario Golf out of it, I'll be happy.

Would buy just to wreck you guys like I did with Balloon Trip.

Crushing disapointment is also not fun. Better to expect a standard direct, and then, if something cool eoes happen its extra exciting.

No one has ever been disappointed in a Direct.

Ever.

I actually didn't know about the "Mario games have legs" phenomenon or the "Nintendo holiday boost" until it was brought to my attention while reading some NeoGAF threads...so after checking the Amazon best sellers right now, I now see for myself that there are so many Mario games and spinoffs that continue to sell (hell, even ones from the DS and Wii show up again all these years later. There's even those 60,000 new Wii Mini/Mario Kart Wii bundle owners, bless their hearts.) So now I know why there's so many Mario games, so that once they're in the console's library, they will continue to sell years later (crossing my fingers that SM3DW is included.)

The OG Cranky posts!

Is it wrong that I expect a Metroid V surprise at every Nintendo Direct?

I mean, I don't get mad or disappointed when it doesn't happen, but still, I gotta believe.

Realistically:

- Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze
- Mario Kart 8

And then some stuff for the 3DS.

Preferably I'd like to hear about SMTxFE, but I wouldn't say I'm expecting that.

Of course, Retro is working on the spiritual successor to the Prime Trilogy. It's a 3D sequel to Fusion.

hmmm what have Skip been doing recently?

uhhh, they opened a twitter account, i tweeted/pleaded for some info, got none. I think they've mainly been lending one or two guys to projects here n there. The team probably sees regular turnover, but they always get some of the most brilliant and unique minds in game design: 24 Department, 819 Department, and 1 Department. Last project they've officially been credited for is Wii Play Motion (Pose Mii Plus and Flutter Fly mini-games) :/

at least we know they're alive and working on SOMETHING
