Yeah, you can always disable them and try to find a working HBAO+ Flag if you have an Nvidia card. It works regardless of whether DX9/DX11. Just need to find a flag that works for it.
If I had the game I could find one for you.

I love this game, played many, many hours on the 360 with it.
Yeah, I like it too, obviously.
I have clocked well over 250 hours on it spanning two complete playthroughs and two incomplete ones. Currently my screenshot run of the game is on hiatus though.

Yeah, texture and mesh mods through two different methods. I should get around to making an informative post about it some day, but last time was postponed because everything went to shit in regards to installing DLC textures. But this time I managed to get it working, albeit not as efficient as initially hoped. I'll notify you once I'm able to post something of worth, but if you're impatient, check out the website Girlsplaymasseffect (I think that's the name). They have the hair mods in question.

Is it just me or is age setting in on this game? Look at the chock hold picture & then go look at a PS4 Killzone picture that is roughly the same. For me Killzone looks better.
We need the bar to be raised with PC games.

Yeah i'm running 3gb graphics card & 8gb main ram. The PS4 won't use all that 8gb for graphics.
Don't get me wrong it's fair play to the PS4 for it's price.
You poor dear, Horse Armour can strike at any time and without any warning. No thread is safe.

Which screenshots are you comparing to?
There's things in Crysis 3 which look better than in Killzone and vice versa. The rain for example. The things Killzone does better from what I've compared are the cool set pieces (nice looking backgrounds) and some of the characters look a bit better (Crysis 3 kind of goes into the uncanny valley).
I still think overall Crysis 3 is the best looking game there is.

I was reading this and felt rage building up inside me.... then noticed who posted that. 10/10 would be fooled again.
Seriously though. Those are some crappy Crysis 3 screenshots.
Raising the bar for PC games, though? I'm all for it! I can always use higher res textures and prettier shaders. But those are going to be even more costly at 2560x1440. Let alone at those cute "next-gen" resolutions...
I've been playing a bit of Shadow Fall myself in the past few days, and I've got to say it does look fantastic. The Lighting and reflections in particular.
Drawing comparisons between something like Crysis and Killzone seems rather pointless, though. I find Crysis to shoot for a more photorealistic style than Killzone: Shadow Fall, which looks very slick and vibrant in comparison.
However, if I were to choose what I prefer, I'd take the latter any day - at least until the day we can draw those truly photorealistic shots, without falling somewhere in between that and something uncanny.

Well, they are in game shots at the same res the PS4 uses, without any effects or such like added. If you play the game at far greater res then maybe your used to seeing it that way??

Might be a strange place to ask this but does anyone know how to reach Sethos outside of GAF? I don't know when\if he's going to be unbanned, and I have some questions that I think only he could answer.
He has his XBLA name and PSN ID listed on his member profile. You may be able to add him and reach him there.
You can add and message him through GFWL so you don't need an Xbox for it.

Regardless, until Killzone has toads that look this good it's a no go.

I still wish they went all out and gave us the toads from their tech demo. Put in a "ludicrous tessellation" option. One of those "you'd have to be insane to turn this on" kinda options. Like ubersampling in TW2.

Yeah your Crysis 3 stuff is popular in the DET group! I sorted by most interesting.
That tech demo frog was unreal. I would absolutely love to see that in game. If it was in there, I'd trust you to make sure we got all the glorious tesselated pixels we could ever want out of it.
Yeah it's a mesh and texture mod.
