It'd look the same, but higher resolution.
Sorry kid.
As boring as this conversation is that's probably the one thing that wouldn't change.

Mario was present at the Big Bang when the universe was recreated. Everything is comprised of Mario particles and exists according to his designs now.Why does Mario wear a spacesuit in that game while not needing one in the Galaxy games and other games too? It breaks the continuity within the Mario universe and possible the Mario timeline.
Ha, you're right. Perhaps being portable has made me take Kid Icarus for granted.Shocking Alberto said:He already made the best Starfox since 64.
Where did that rumor come from anyway?I think that pre-E3 rumor with Villager, Mega Man, Wii Fit Trainer, Little Mac, Mii and Pac-Man was a little too on the money to be a "prediction" and not a "leak."
So yeah -- I'm expecting Little Mac, Mii and Pac-Man.
I imagine it'd be much more detail, say if developed on a PS4.
It looks fine regardless.
So it'd look better.
so there is a difference

No reason to assume that considering the current style is to look somewhat less realistic than Brawl aimed for. The end product would probably look the same no matter what console they developed it on.
Right before E3, someone posted on GAF a "prediction" they thought was "unlikely," and their prediction was those six would be shown.Where did that rumor come from anyway?
Because it happened before Mario remade the universe. So then why does he wear a spacesuit in SML2!?

It's possible. But the boxing arena, the Find Mii stage, the Pilotwings/Wuhu Island stage, the involvement of Namco-Bandai, Nintendo's history with Pac-Man (Pac-Man Vs. a.k.a. the prototype to asymmetric gameplay seen in the WiiU, Mario Kart Arcade Grand Prix 1 and 2, etc), Sakurai's comments on Pac-Man at E3 -- it all seems likely, even without the uncanny accuracy of that "rumor."you don't think the guy knew the first half was confirmed and threw in some random extra characters to bullshit everyone
Balrog is only selectable in Coin Battles. For a moment I thought this was the daily pic.
There could of been a lot more flashy effects, a lot more going on, and maybe that'd tempt the team not to recycle assets and actually build newer, nicer looking things, such as the Skyloft Stage.
Plus, 1080p/60fps would of been likely (unless the Wii U game is).

I agree, but you should run before SuperSah kills you!How about they kill off the 3DS version and put all of the time and effort saved from it's cancellation into the Wii U version?
I will be buying both

Great post, Neiteio, thanks! Seems very likely Pac-Man would be the final third party character.
About that supposed Punch-Out stage, doesn't it just look like a generic boxing arena? I get why people would associate it with Punch-Out, but it seemed like an original stage to me.
It will probably be called Smash Circuit, much like how the Animal Crossing stage in Brawl was called Smashville. Someone here once illustrated all the exacting details shared between the boxing arena in SSB4 and the one in Punch-Out. If I recall correctly, even the lights and decals lined up the same.Great post, Neiteio, thanks! Seems very likely Pac-Man would be the final third party character.

that's pretty much leak central in Smash Bros
hehFor a moment I thought this was the daily pic.
agreed. It looks great. The colors are perfect.Melee had a sort of slick techno aesthetic to it.
Brawl had a grittier, muted aesthetic to it (which was a little awkward with Toon Link in particular).
SSB4 has an action figure aesthetic that manages to make all these different characters look cohesive. It fits Toon Link and Rosalina equally well.

Best looking style yet.
I would love either Mitsurugi, Siegfried, or Yoshimitsu to appear in Smash Bros. A sort of payback for Link in SCII.Wasn't Pac-Man already in Street Fighter x Tekken anyway? He's totally in. Question is, is he the only Namco rep?

Or even Marshall Law. He controls just like a Smash Bros. character.

And we'd see Pac-Man before ANY Namco-Bandai character. We'd probably see Heihachi before any of them.

Yes and he rode on top of mokujin and it was awesome.
And we'd see Pac-Man before ANY Namco-Bandai character.
He is to Namco-Bandai as Mario is to Nintendo, Mega Man is to Capcom and Sonic is to Sega. He is THE mascot.
Heck, your average person off the streets -- let's say your grandma -- would sooner recognize Pac-Man than Mega Man. Everyone knows Pac-Man.
That kind of star power, and all the Nintendo connections, from Pac-Man Vs. to Mario Kart Arcade GP... Nintendo is not going to make an all-star fighting game with Namco-Bandai at the helm, and not use Namco-Bandai's superstar.
If Namco-Bandai is willing, Sakurai will put him in.

I can't see Namco, or any third party, getting more than one playable rep any time soon. Sakurai has emphasized that third party characters are "special cases" and having more than the Absolute Best Mascot Characters (and maybe special exceptions like Snake) would seem to fly in the face of that.
The only way I can see any character outside of a company's mascot getting in is a case of weird ownership/mixed representation, like how Bayonetta is more of a Platinum Games rep even if she could be considered a Sega character.
Because it happened before Mario remade the universe.
Mario can also fly without planes and swim without air, but he has both a plane and sub in Mario Land 1.

Pic of the day. A Luma becomes a star. Lumas are tough, but can also be blown away. Luckily, there's an infinite number of them.
I'm probably the only person who cares about shit like this, but I was hoping the light streaks (when the characters get killed) would have some nicer effects by this point.
Does Luma count as an actual character though? I've seen the light streaks for the other characters have a more profound effect, unless I'm just imagining it.

Yes and he rode on top of mokujin and it was awesome.
You might be thinking of this one:
Characters have a more elaborate effect it seems, though they're only visible for a few seconds anyway.
I'm just going to say, if we got Rosalina of all potential candidates as a character I want to add Midna to my wishlist.
