The "joke" doesn't really work when you omit "for" from the game's title.

Personally I wouldn't mind the "Ridley me this" suggestion but coming after "Ridley's believe it or not" it feels stale or redundant (for lack of any other words) to have two Ridley puns in a row. There's more to Smash jokes than Ridley .

I do like "Yoshi's still missing!" though.

Huh, I never really thought about Sylveon before, but she does have a lot going for her:

- Four-legged fighter who can manipulate objects with her, uh, flesh-ribbons. Kind of like Ivysaur with his vines!

- A Pokemon that received top billing for Gen 6. Also represents the new Fairy-type. Could have lots of cool moonlight-based moves.

- SOOOOOOOOO CUUUUUUUUUTTTE!

I love to have a Sylveon or any new pokemon on the roster would be aweso...

Haha, I honestly think this is the case. Ridley jokes were funny the first time around. Not so much anymore.

I vote "Yoshi is Missing!", just for how hilariously dated it'll be when Yoshi is actually announced.

"Zero Heels Samus" is also good, and unlike the Yoshi joke it works even after she's announced (If you're the sort of person who actually cares about the title making sense).

Ridley jokes have become so self-aware that half the humor now comes from how lame and overdone Ridley jokes are. There is a touch of sadness and self-mockery in every delivery, acknowledging how powerless we are at ever affecting which characters get into Smash 4. We aren't laughing at Sakurai or Ridley or Smash, but at ourselves.

That is why Ridley jokes are still sometimes funny for me and Banderas isn't.
