What games are these from?
In this instances they are the same thing. 4K displays like apples "retina" displays have far higher pixel density than the average display. This naturally downsamples the image by having the display put out far more data than the human eye can distinguish from a much closer distances than the average 1080p monitor. It should even be better than downsampling in some instances as there are actual pixels for the image to map to.
I decided to grab Nether during the sale thanks to all these interesting screenshots.
Turns out, the game is unplayable (at least for new people) right now. The process to link the game to your steam account is broken, which is required to log in. Yaaaaay.
