Ha! Just watched that movie, was wondering when I read your post what of Digimon you could be comparing to Summer Wars but then immediately when the teaser came up, I saw it.

BTW, Mamoru Hosoda directed both Summer Wars and the weird Digimon Movie (also the TV series, but as I understand it the show was pretty normal and the movie was out there.) Would be interesting if a Digimon game actually had some stylish kick to it.

of Fuck those models are incredible, since the PS3 game out I've been waiting for a next-gen (now previous gen...) Digimon game and all we've got are DS games.

Indeed. It's also ostensibly a retread of the first Digimon movie, so the influence is fitting, whether it's intentional or not.

This looks fantastic. That combined with the 2015 date makes me think Namco is relatively invested in quality/success here.
