I enjoy playing Brawl too, but Project M is much better IMO. Characters are more balanced than standard Brawl. Tripping is also gone, which increases it's enjoyment a lot!

tripping hardly ever happened to me and when it did my character just rolled back up and kept moving, so it didnt have any real effect on me

No way, that cat would clearly focus on an alt-skin coming from Super Mario 3D World's ending. I'm not posting it here since the surprise is a lot of fun and I don't want to completely give it away to fellow Gaffers going through the game right meow.

Hey guys, this is Sakurai. I've hacked this guys NeoGaf account to bring the internet exclusive information.

First of all, none of the characters are cut, in fact were tripling the amount of characters in the game.

Also, yes Ridley will be playable character in the game.

He's big, I mean really big. So big that he is also a stage. THATS RIGHT, Ridley is the series first literal playable stage. How will that work, well you're just going to have to take my vague statement and speculate.

There's actually one ongoing right now polling various Smash fansites/communities which has been posted here and has 1000+ responses. HERE is the most recent results. According to it, about ~50% of voters want Ridley in, more than any other newcomer (unless you count Mewtwo) and with more votes than Lucario, Pokemon Trainer, or Snake. Looking over that thread, he hasn't ranked lower than the top three since 2010.

If anyone has any other polls (particularly of Japanese communities!) that'd be awesome, I love this sort of thing.

Sakurai explicitly said that the demand for Megaman (second only to Sonic) was what got him in, so they must be gathering data in some form. I assume there were polls.

I imagine they do focus testing and that sort of thing, and naturally receive a lot of mail/requests from fans, but I can't remember hearing about any official "polls" or any results that'd be released to the public. Unless you count that fanmail drive sort of thing Sakurai did for early Brawl.
