I remember watching old school PPVs and just getting the audio.

We had an old analog dish. The PPVs came in, but I had to hear them in Spanish.

I watched Foley Hell in a Cell like this. The Spanish commentators were not too happy when Mick came flying down.

last words before he fell... "oh no...."

What does Stephanie McMahon look like these days.? Dam she has some ballin ass titties

Yup... she grew

Back in the day I "watched" the kersplat Mankind Hell in a Cell match scrambled, so it was basically radio.

Heck of a way to experience that one. :p

I moved to a new apartment the weekend of Hell in a Cell '97. Cable was not set up in time to order the event. I had to watch Kane's premier in scramble vision. It was awesome. lol

I haven't really watched rasslin' in years, but I might bite on this, at least for a couple of months, just to catch up. I was big into it during the Attitude era (like everyone else), but kinda lost interest along the way.

Won't come to Europe anyway (unless severely crippled).
Why? If they own all of the content and put it online, why would their service be crippled outside of the US? Wasn't that one of the great aspects of the internet, anyone from anywhere can see it online?

OJ wasn't an active player, and didn't murder a kid

Well, yeah, but he didn't do that either on screen or in character. Meanwhile, I assume this network will happily air episodes where Randy Orton gives Stephanie McMahon a DDT or has Vince choking her with a pipe or whatever.

When I first heard about this I thought "meh" but watching the attitude era through again sounds quite delish.

Though I'm wondering if I'd still be into it or have I grown out of such things.

Haven't cared for wrestling in nearly 15 years but if this if this is unedited, goes beyond wwe/wcw and into other regions, and is n nearly exhaustive back to the early 70s then I would pay $15 a month for this. If it's not like that then I wouldn't really be interested even at half the price.

I don't follow wrestling anymore but I still love watching wrestling documentaries- even on newer wrestlers that only really had their careers after 97-98. The older documentaries are great. Something about old wrestling videos I find fascinating and deeply nostalgic.

Include WCW stuff and I'll be there day one. It'd be awesome to watch the old Raws and Nitros back to back from the same night

No, you're doing it wrong. You want to load Nitro up on the PS3 then after an hour you want to load RAW on the Roku then for the next hour you flip back and forth between both devices streaming the respective show, then for hour three can watch the last hour of RAW. Oh, and finish it off by going to Hulu and watching an episode of Silk Stockings.

Or at least just the opening...

What does Stephanie McMahon look like these days.? Dam she has some ballin ass titties

I went to the last RAW in Greenville, SC a couple months back. Me and my nephew were walking around looking for something to eat before the show and sure enough there came Steph walking up without any protection or anything like that and she was followed by a bunch of ladies wearing the pink cancer shirts. I guess she was taking them backstage or something, or showing them around, I'm not sure. Anyway, she walked by smiled and brused up against me so I got a good look. She is about my height, but she had heels on and was quite a bit taller than me in person. I was shocked at how thin she was, she was tiny, but yeah she had a huge rack. She had a ton of makeup on, which goes without saying, but she looked older in person than I would have imagined. She was pretty stunning in person though, great smile.

Back to the network, and going back to how we used to have to watch Nitro/RAW live, one thing I'm looking forward to is watching those shows truly in their entirety. I bet I missed a ton of great little moments back then because I was constantly flipping back and forth. The worst was when both channels would have commercials on at the same time!

I just hope they don't think too small here. Yeah, having all the old RAWs and stuff would be great, but I'd love to see what they could do to enhance the current product, with original content, and interaction, beyond just voting in the app to see who's going to be a Special Guest Referee or whatever.

I mean, they have the back catalog of a Netflix, produce enough original programming for next day content like Hulu, and still offer a ton of live events every month. Few companies can offer that, and I'd hate to see that potential passed up just so I can watch some random Raw from 1997.

What if they took a cue from ESPN this past Monday, and really blew out their Wrestlemania coverage? Perhaps you could watch the PPV on TV, or you could watch a roundtable discussion on the Network with JR, Dusty, Austin, and whoever else breaking down what they were watching while telling old war stories?

What if there was a "post-game"-type show after Raw, where you could see some of the "after the show" stuff that they've started to pull the curtain back on lately?

That's the type of stuff I'm interested in seeing. The on-demand stuff would just be icing on the cake.

Oh WWE is going all-in with the network, I wouldn't worry too much about content, including new original programming.

Consider me interested. The current product is plain damn depressing in quality so I'm all about reliving the old days.

I am interested in what will be censored, most likely the music. I really hope it is Neflix style where I can just queue up what I want and go from there.

The DVDs of past matches are pretty bad with some theme songs. Cactus Jack's song was replaced with a bad knock off for example.

Well some general things from WWE Classics on Demand, which I imagine might carry over to the network.

-They no longer have to censor the logo or when someone say WWF, which was always annoying, and doubly so during the Attitude era since like everything had the logo on it!
-They no longer censor blood (use to turn the screen black and white if anyone was bloody), just throw up a message before the start of the show that it was intended for mature audiences.
-Music will probably be hurt the most. They don't tend to get back rights for PPVs and a lot of theme music. And most of the stuff they replace it with sounds horrible or oddly dubbed. Usually really notice this with Edge and American Bad-Ass Undertaker.

Region-locked due to rights, like virtually every streaming service. At best you have to jump through a few hoops (and break the user license agreement), e.g. if you want Netflix in Germany. Granted, movies and TV shows are even worse, but it's an issue even if you produce the content, e.g. if they have a contract with Sky (that either rules this out or forces them to restrict it).

Aren't all their TV contracts expiring soon? Perfect time to renegotiate dem deals.

What?

They aren't going to cut his stuff. They haven't on DVD, they won't here. They just aren't going out of his way to single him out or honor him.

I'm not sure what Stephanie willingly participating in wrestling angles has to do with anything.

I can't remember what match it was but on the best of Clash of Champions, there was an entire match in which Ventura's commentary was removed. You had long gaps of silence and then hear Tony say "Armdrag!"

At least the WWF logo isn't censored. And I sure hope that they don't have the vid "skip" during chairshots to the head.

you are much more dedicated that I, kind sir

Sure. You know, you and Aiii have raised good points, it would make a lot of sense to come to Europe, but I'm just a pessimist from experience.

Don't take my complaining too seriously. It would be great if it was available worldwide and it may very well be.

I think the archive side will come to Europe. But for the PPVs? Not so sure.

I'm really excited for this news and hoping we get all the back catalog stuff (RAW, Smackdown, PPVs) from the get go. I've been itching to watch a bunch of random angles between when I wasn't watching (2006-2013), and take in the entire Attitude Era.

Get hype yall.

God the build to Mania 17 is going to suck without the My Way video =/

*Looks at his VHS copy of WM17 and laughs maniacally*

Someone else suggested they'd have to edit him out or put disclaimers on all of his appearances. I don't' think they're going to, either.

And that's largely my point: if WWE was really that sensitive, they wouldn't have large muscular men beating the shit out of chicks on camera, which has a lot more unfortunate implications, since that's something that's actually a part of the product.
