Can WWE Network show Owen Hart footage without legal ramifications from his widow?

Or what about

6 month commitment is not a shock. I was expecting a year at least cause otherwise people be jumping ship after a month.

The UFC should be absolutely embarrassed by this value proposition. The WWE Network is taking a chance and casting a very wide net, while the UFC Fight Pass does nothing but squeeze pennies from a niche segment of their niche audience who will get up at 4:00 a.m. to watch jobbers fight in Jakarta to protect their dwindling pay-per-view business.

Vincent, the world's best promoter and huckster. Always and forever.

Embarrassed probably isn't what they are feeling. IIRC, UFC had 6 of the top 10 PPVs last year, while WWE only had 1. The rest were boxing PPVs. So at this point I don't think they have to make drastic changes to their business. Not yet anyway. The time will come, but as long as they are pulling in numbers like that, they won't respond, they don't have to. But I agree that this could really change the PPV business going forward. It really changes the value proposition.

It would be nice if a mod updated the title and maybe the OT was updated if it hasn't been. Either that or someone really should make a post with the news. You have to figure there are some who haven't set foot in here who would be interested.

My boy, John Cena, mentioned this goes live after Raw in Feb. That means they're going to have a crazy overrun that spills over to the WWE Network. They should tease something major like Bo Dallas' re-debut or Rene Young taking her top off to reveal hand print pasties.

The two biggest draws in the company are essentially out of the sport. One got his leg shattered at the age of 38 and the other retired to deal with personal issues. They have no stars left.

Things that floored me

-Price
-ALL PPVS
-raw,smackdown,ecw,wcw and past ppvs.

I mean isn't that fucking insane?

It's crazy!

I'm actually unsure what it is I'm most interested in "having" from the Network. The old content, the current PPVs/TV shows at no extra charge, the original programming (including stuff like those daily shows and post and pre shows, imagine how much more of the roster would get to perform).

Ah, screw it, it's probably the old content. But the other stuff is nice.

It's really Apples and Oranges.

They are incredibly similar as business entities. WWE's television deal will blow UFC's out of the water, and their pay-per-view numbers will become similar now that GSP and Anderson are out of the picture.

WWE's network seeks to expand their audience, UFC's does nothing but exploit their niche.

UFC just lost two of their biggest draws and are actively pursuing Brock Lesnar, a WWE sports entertainer, to fill that void.

This may be a crazy thought, but I wonder if this will hurt the buys for Rumble and Elimination Chamber this year. I know, they likely don't care much with it being so soon to the launch of the network, but still. It's hard to swallow buying those two shows at full price and then bam, the rest are next to nothing.

Man its amazing what WWE can do for the fans when they really want to. I have been borderline done watching current programming because storylines keep getting shoved down our throat. Then in one night they got me hooked again.

The only knock is that it doesn't include Raw and Smackdown Live. I hope they figure out a way to include that as soon as possible.

It really should be a WrassleGAF project to find all the old popular wrestling gifs and make them in HD.

Oh man this would be pretty freaking awesome!

$9.95 per month for all PPVs and every show ever broadcast, and since I live in Australia I probably won't see this made available until 2015. WWE are offering up a damn good deal.

Not a chance. They are doing the TV rights negotiations right now. They want to get the football/NASCAR deals for TV rights fees. If it goes well, they will basically double the amount of money they receive from their weekly TV shows like RAW, as a default, without altering a thing.
Plus, you can't put ALL of it on the Network. You need RAW to bring viewers in and entice them to buy the Network.

They've already said there will be weekly encores of RAW, SD, etc on the Network, so while they can't show them live, they can show them presumably the day after.
