3DS Streetpass Experiences

Does anyone know how to go through the walls in the first level of parade of plunder? It's needed for one of the diamonds.

I'm assuming it's a weapon, but which one?

I discovered that I can get my local Home Depot and Starbucks from the parking lot. I got McDonald's drive through last night and got it as well, what's weird is within an hour I got the exact same 6 people between McD's and Starucks, not a single difference. They're right down the street from each other but it makes me believe people are just driving around making pit stops

Turning on my 3ds at the airport turned out to be an automatic full plaza of streetpasses. I am still never gonna finish them damn puzzles though.

I've still only seen 2 monarchs from afar and both were way out of my league.

I don't even bother playing mii force anymore for some reason, just the other 3 dlc games...

Haven't Streetpassed in a while actually. Only need a few pieces left for X/Y, Skyward Sword, NSMBU & Xenoblade. Surprised we haven't gotten ALBW or SM3DW puzzle yet.

Finally beat Mii Force's arcade mode last night. I'm down to around 10 tickets left between the four games. And these last ones are going to take me until the end of time.

I can't fathom how long it will take me to get the ticket for getting every Puzzle Box in Mansion.

The other tickets are more achievable (probably).

I don't know how I can have a day with 18 plaza, 13 AC, 16 Mon Hun, 10 Bravely Default tags and not a single Zelda LBW one.

Something has to be up there.

I seem to be having issues with this too. I've gotten more than a few Miis that say they're playing Link Between Worlds, but so far, I've only gotten 1 single sign board. Also, I never saw the green bubble notification on the game nor have I seen any message in the notifications app. What gives? Maybe they've gotten wise to homepass and they're foiling it somehow?

I assume that is something to do with how a relay will give 6 plaza Miis, but only 1 pass for an individual game. So it shouldn't be uncommon to have 3 people in the queue with Zelda as the last played game, but only get 1 in-game pass.

It just seems less popular in general than I would have imagined.

Maybe they haven't set up Streetpass within the game?

This at least is true as well.

So I've set up a website. I hate pimping things, but I'm gonna need a hand.

http://www.streetpassing.com/

Called StreetPassing, I plan to have write-ups on all the games that support StreetPass and what they do, as well as updates about new puzzles, SpotPass notices and so on. There doesn't seem to be a good central source for this. Currently I've only done Animal Crossing, but I want to cover them all.

A game I don't have access to (I lost my cart) is Kid Icarus Uprising, and I'd really love to get that one up soon. It's an important game! Can anyone help out with taking shots of the relevant StreetPass areas of it for me?

Do you just want screenshots or a write up? I could get you screenshots of Kid Icarus if you could tell me what you want since I haven't played that game in forever.
I could also get you screenshots of Bravely Default's streetpass features too if you want.

I could do with some details about how it works for the games I lack and pictures that show key stages of the SP functions. The site has three games updated now, for a good idea of the sort of thing.

Animal Crossing
Pokemon XY
Super Mario 3D Land

Games I lack from that list above are Resident Evil: Revelations, Rhythm Thief, Sonic Generations and Dead or Alive.

I'm shit at writing stuff up, but here's the details:

Resident Evil: Revelations - After passing someone, you get "missions" which are really just items you can use in the game, positioned along with the other tasks (kind of like achievements that give you items, though they're called "missions"). This includes ammo, herbs, and other consumables.

Rhythm Thief - NPCs appear in the streetpass version of the town. Once you walk over to an NPCs, they send a message from the person you streetpassed and initiate one of the game's minigames. You compete with the score of the person you streetpassed in this game. If you win, that NPC becomes your fan, adding to your fan count.

Sonic Generations - You gain points to use to buy things in game, also you can pick one of the missions the person has to import their score into your high score list for the mission. If you do not have that mission yet, you unlock it at the same time as importing their high score, resulting in an alternate method of unlocking the missions (the other methods are meeting in game requirements and spending play coins).

Dead or Alive: Dimensions - Unlocks a ghost battle with the person you street passed. The ghost supposedly fights similar to the person you passed using their favourite character. This will impact your letter grade. At the end of the battle (regardless of victor), you get a figurine.

It's weird; on my walk to work each morning I either get the max amount of tags or zero. Never anything inbetween. Walking from west village to Midtown NYC, and generally avoiding the crowded touristy areas.

I like the StreetPass info site.

Makes me want to write something for Fire Emblem.

(There's some stuff here if you want to borrow them. I can grab a battle pic too if necessary, thanks to Miiverse and all the battles I've got queued up.)

Thanks for that page, I used it as a template of sorts. :)

Also added Link Between Worlds.

By the way, if I ever write something wrong or just unclear, let me know.

Kinda weird not to start with "Puzzle Swap" and "Find Mii" ... or swapnote ='(

One of my neighbors has a 3DS and we streetpass every few days. We live in the same apartment building, but I'm not sure who it is. I have three suspects, but my weird work schedule keeps me from bumping into any of them very often. There are people in my building I've only seen once or twice, despite living there since May.

I expected to get lots of streetpasses at the hotel I work at, but it almost never happens. Kind of a bummer.

I'm hoping that it works out for me to go to PAX East with my brother. He has tickets but we just don't know if we'll be able to. If we do, I assume it will be streetpass heaven.

Also, despite having had about 100 StreetPasses since I got it, I only got stuff for Zelda for like the first couple of days. I haven't seen a single thing since. Seems really weird. :\

Just hard to get screenshots for those.

Will be interesting to find out which eShop games use Streetpass should you go that far (please do!)

There's only Denpa Men 2 that I know of so far.....

According to a search on Nintendo's UK site with the criteria StreetPass, the following eShop games have it in some form:

KORG M01D
Snow Moto Racing 3D
Mahjong 3D - Essentials
Fish On 3D
Dillon's Rolling Western: The Last Ranger
Aqua Moto Racing 3D
Bugs vs Tanks
Denpa Men 2: Beyond the Wave
Alien Chaos 3D
Splash or Crash
Aero Porter
Block Factory

I'll be honest, I haven't even heard of a few of those.. But it certainly is the goal to document everything, even the obscure. Somehow..

Whaaaaat?
Surely getting a pass for Fish On 3D would have to rank as the rarest Streetpass :lol
Pleasantly surprised so many 'minor' games have it implemented. I bet the majority have more in-depth exchanges than Pokemon does too :(
Good luck with the site, it's looking great so far.

Ha, is there anything Streetpass-related that isn't exploitable these days?

...

77/80 journal entries in the Garden. Mendel pls, help me out.

I get 2+ Bravely Default passes a day. The power of a demo with SP function.
I've had the same experience and I'm really surprised. I have been getting roughly equal numbers of street passes for Bravely Default as I have been with Link Between Worlds.

Ok people who have beaten the Mansion game.

What weapon are Beelzebub's weak to? They are driving me crazy. They can't really hurt me much any more, but I do 1-2 damage per hit to them with my two best weapons. And then they regen and it just turns into a war of attrition, and I'm clearly not getting past floor 37 without beating one and ARGGGHHH.

Help.

It's interesting being able to see the play-times of people you pass. Lots of people spending more time with the BD demo than with full games.

What are the attack power listings of your best weapons?

The name isn't ringing a bell; what kind of enemy is it? If it's the suits of armor, those are weak to Thunder.

If all else fails, remember that escaping is an option.

It's not armor, it's a tall thing in black. Has horns. They regen. ALOT.

And escaping isn't a permanent option, this sucker is one of the following ones.

I think it is very weak to wind, or snow... (sadly, I don't recall.. been a while since I played the Mansion game and passed it)

Alright, I've updated the site a wee bit. I'll be sure to credit guys here that helped, of course. Still a long way to go! As ever, please let me know of any mistakes or things I've missed. Cheers!

Susurrus, could you please clarify a little bit about Resident Evil Revelations? I'm not sure I fully understood what happens there. Thanks!

I also set up a Twitter account that has updates, because I'm cool like that.

I have some very specific question about Link Between Worlds' street pass functionality. If someone has the answer, this is exactly the sort of thing that would be useful to have on the site:

Question: If you have two save files, which do people get in a street pass?

Question 2: If you have a hero mode save file, is this indicated in some way to the person who receives the street pass? Does it effect the bounty?
