Kingdom Come - Realistic open-world Medieval RPG [Kickstarter]

Where does it say that? All I saw was the release date being dependent on the certification process.

Summary

Planned platforms: PC, Xbox One*, PS4*, Mac, Linux
Release date: Q4, 2015 on PC, Mac and Linux
Approx. gameplay time: 30 hours (Act 1), 70+ hours (all 3 acts)

* Publishing on closed platforms is subject to approval by the platform holder. This can also influence release date there.

From their KS page.

From their FAQ:

"In our world, we can offer you PC version in all tiers. From the “Baron” tier above, you will be able to choose our game on any platform you wish from those mentioned above (i.e. Windows PC / Mac / Linux / Xbox One / PS4), with the proviso that on consoles the game must be approved by the platform holders first. In case we are not able to finish or release the game on the platform you chose for any reason, you will be able to choose again (from available platforms) or demand your money back."

Yipee!

Wow, this looks incredible, seems like a really talented team. I need to see this game made and uncompromised in its vision. I hope it blows up Star Citizen style because these guys look to have the chops to deliver and I really think there's a huge market for something like this game, it just needs the proper exposure.

This looks absolutely stunning. I'd love to back this, but with the team being unable to guarantee an Xbox One/PS4 version, I can't :-/

I remember a very short clip in some CryEngine promotional video, but I don't think it was that long ago.

I think that was from the showcase around march of this most recent year. Than previously when they were still in really early stages they just showed off some farmhouse stuff somewhere... I forget exactly what.

Back it and renig your backing if they lose rights to make the X1 or Ps4 version. Their FAQ allows you to take away your backing if they fail to deliver one or more of the console versions.

as per their FAQ: (Thx Banjo-Kazooie)

Backed. Torn between the Knight physical and Baron physical though. Went for Baron for the moment but may change my mind.

Feel like I'm in RPG heaven with all these RPGs popping up lately.

This year Mount and Blade 2 Bannerlords. 2015 mod for Mount and Blade 2 Prophecy of Pendor 2 and Q42015 this game.

My knight fix will be delivered.

Yep, I really like that they will refund you if you don't want it on the other platforms.

And no problem :)

this game looks VERY nice.
it also reminds me a lot of Mount and Blade (Warband), I thought some people from the Warhorse team developed those games as well but apparently they didn't.

Love Vavra's decision to go for a less clusterfucked and more realistic map compared to "potatoland" Skyrim.

Also like the fact that instead of trying to have 1 map and cram everything in, they can have multiple distant cities as seperate maps and keep the realism.
Seems like a good choice for expansions and modding in new provinces/cities later on.
I wonder how they want to tackle the issue of "the king's mighty army of 5 man" and the "capital of the continent has 20 citizens"-syndrome from the Elder Scrolls?

Well, the latter is pretty easy to fix by not taking place in a capital. As for the former, they have some pretty nice crowds in the trailer. Not an entire imperial army, but a small 1400s European force in a minor engagement? Sure.

I'm in at the £65 Earl level for now. May bump it up to the £125 Duke level depending on how finances are or if the Pantheon Kickstarter looks like it's going to end up failing.

given advances in CPU overhead that the next 2 years will have... I can imagine this game will actually showcase larger engagements than those even seen in the trailer above.

Or at least... I hope :D

I want to support this, but I also want to be in the alpha tier, and $50USD is a little steep for the unknown that is Kickstarter. I guess I'll do the cheapest tier that gets me into the beta and try to convince myself closer to the end.

That's not saying what you said though. They are raising money for the Ps4 and Xbox versions. They're just not sure what publishing hurdlers they might face in releasing it nor are they confirming that it will release if those hurdles arise.

If I were to back them, the version they would be obligated to provide me with would be PC, not console. It's pretty clear.

I wish them all the luck. In time, if it comes to consoles and is a critical success, I'd buy it.

I just imagined telling my 12 year old self, after walking out of the theater from seeing Braveheart, that there would be a game like this one day.

It's like my childhood dreams come true.
