Shame he's only 19 and already on a path of self destruction, but moronic stuff like this and spitting on fans I guess he deserves what's coming his way. The guy is an utter cunt.

He will serve no time for this, most likely. There should be a special place in hell for people who not only drag race under the influence, but also throw loud parties that keep the neighbors up, as well.

Sorry, but are celebrities exempt from serving time for breaking time purely because they're celebrities? No, they're not, there have been plenty of instances where the rich and famous have been punished for being insubordinate.

Of course not.

But this is a first offense and he's pretty lawyered up.

It's not that celebrities get preferential treatment per se because they're celebrities is that they can afford good legal services. Remember Lindsey Lohan and Chris Brown?

If those were regular people with not those of many means, they'd be in jail.

I don't hate him, but when I see some of these headlines about him, I just wonder why.

Like I can't truly imagine what it's like to be possibly the most famous human being alive before you're even an adult, but I have to wonder if this is normal behavior for somebody in his situation or if I could handle myself much more intelligently than he seems to sometimes.

He's a teenager who's never been given limits on anything in his life. Of course he'll act out until he sees what those limits are. Which is why, ladies and gentlemen of the jury, you must acquit.

Biieber's just the latest in a long line of young celebrities who couldn't handle the fame. I don't think too many people are going to be surprised that it's gotten to this point for him.

It's not hard.

That Harry Potter kid went through fame just like bieber did, and he turned out ok. Bieber is just an irresponsible turd just like Lohan, and is heading to the burnout phase of his life.

He'll come put, apologize publicly, stay out of trouble for a few months, then he'll get caught poppin molly with his friends after snorting a line of coke off an underage beliebers ass cheek.

Rinse and repeat until he is found laying a bed nude, face down, with a tube up his nose and enough X and molly in his system to keep a rave running all weekend.

This will idiot needs to be punished.

But he's rich and famous.

Doesn't matter that he's rich and famous. A DUI will pretty much guarantee you one night in jail no matter who you are. Most people will then post bail or be released on recognizance and never see jail again. Fines, probation, community service and temporary suspension are the usuall punishment for a first-time DUI offense.

Now, in Bieber's case it appears he was drag racing and resisting arrest without violence. Those charges will likely increase his fines but I doubt he will be sentenced to jail - similar to the average joe with a cheap lawyer or public defender. The part where being rich and famous already came into play was when he had a "friend" take the fall for the drugs that were found at his house last week.

Miami? Great. If Dexter has taught me anything, some random cop will end up in jail because he was the one probably driving maybe.

Reminded me of this for some very strange reason...

being rich also means you can pay off your fines without batting an eye and not giving a fuck how much the fines are compared to a average salary person.

So it's actually DUI, drag racing, and underage drinking. He's only 19. He'll get a small fine and do some short amount of community service, because he's rich.

At 19, No more driving swanky cars for quite a while is gonna be the punishment that hurts him the most, tell me I'm wrong.

Glad the little punk didn't kill anybody.

All jokes aside, this.

I'm glad that no one was hurt. Could you imagine the news, though? Bieber killing someone while under the influence? Maan... Drunk driving is no joke at all. I was not a big "hater" of dude before but this most definitely soured my opinion of him as a person.
