Yeah it really is after a slightly disappointing and a very disappointing season.

My favourite part was the introduction of
Chang's gang & Abed/Troy in the hallway as distinct Mad Max-style groups :lol

Finally got my home Internet working again after i got a new modem. Big up to my package delivery guy who came by at 19.00 to check if i was home after he'd already been there during the day when i wasn't home.
Spend the rest of the night watching Netflix again, i missed it so much.
 
So I didn't watch much, if any, of season 4 of community can someone explain to me
when did Pierce die? Or did he? And when did they all graduate? Or leave?
Just finished the first episode of the new season.

Pierce died in the first episode of S5. He was already written out though (problems with rest of crew/cast iirc) They graduated in the final episode of 4 I think)

all I saw was his weird talking monument?

oh and
it was only a matter of time before Chevy Chase was written out. Guy is a complete dickbag.

Aaah, I think Season 4 goes more into how he's part of this weird... after-life-cult. He believes his spirit lives on inside that lava lamp.

First 2 minutes has already dated the movie massively. Star Wars missile defense and South African Apartheid + nuclear arsenal namedrops :lol

I think very dry air in my workplace is main reason for all problems with my health this winter. Will see in February and March, when I have to go back to my old workplace (this or unemployment), if things will be better.

Robocop was ok. Very dated in a lot of places. Not sure I dug the overly exaggerated slapstick violence. Can certainly tell it's the same guy as Starship Troopers though. The ED209 fight has like Pingu tier vfx.
 
One of mates who is a kind of pretentious film buff swears blind that old school stop-motion looks more convincing than modern CGI.

Come on man, the movement doesn't even look right, and that's before you get to the actual aesthetics.

Stop-motion does have a certain charm, but convincing it ain't.

It looks more convincing than crappy CGI, because the stop-motion prop is actually there.
Movements look shite though. Good CGI ofcourse looks much more convincing that stop-motion.

I've been working a fair bit recently which means I'm away when the thread is in primetime. I guess we gotta make this thread even worse than it normally is if we're gonna get to 20k.
 
By my calculations as we make the thread worse and worse it'll take more and more energy until we cannot physically make it any worse without punching a hole in reality.

Unfortunately to make 20k posts we'll need to cross that threshold.

We hit peak pineapple sometime last week. We will never extract as much pineapple related discussion as we were per unit of time ever again.
