Well, he says a lot of dirty things if he is angry. Things like "You can suck my cock!" or "My ass you are better than me" and stuff like that :P

Haha, serbian friend told me those are actually not so bad in context because they're "commonly used" in serbia just like anyone would say "fuck", is that correct ?

And we're done here, well played Nadal... Federer sadly was back to his old self :(

After 9 years of this, you'd have thought Federer would have changed things up a bit.

Anyway...

C'MON THE STANIMAL!

...who will also lose in 3. :(

It really depends. Remember the match with Dimitrov which he lost in Madrid? The audience was so against Nole that he got bu'd after every winner. He said things like "You motherfuckers can all suck my dick!" and I think he was right. IMO he should never play again there.

tennis dying.

Sure. Some H2H notes
Rafael Nadal 23-10 Roger Federer
Nadal 22-17 Nole
Nadal 13-5 Murray

Now I would love to hear about that Federer is the greatest of all time/Djokovic is better than Nadal bullshit. Facts are facts, and Nadal is the best player of his generation.

Time to face it; The Joker is nothing but a bad joke, and Fed is a lesser God. Murray doesn´t even compete. Just Nadal.

.

That's shockingly dumb conclusion - h2h is not the most important stat, and definitely not when two players are not the same age.

And yet, they've all beaten each other.

Why? Federer played solid tennis, but Nadal is just another class of tennis player.
The thing is, while the outcome of Nadal vs. Federer has been pretty much the same for a long time, off clay Nadal used to win in tense exciting five-set matches full of brilliant play. This match was just not any fun to watch... it was just Nadal beating the world no. 6.

Did we see the same match? There were a lot of beatiful rallies and some amazing shots from Nadal!

Game was lost on that tie-break volley. Ultra unforced error. Even if Federer would have lost the first set anyhow it wouldn't have affected him as much as losing it with that error.

Thank god Rafa won. Time for him to become the first man in the Open era to win 2 of each grand slam :D.

Roy Emerson & Rod Laver? ^^

Nadal wins
1. Nadal
2. Djokovic
3. Del Potro (+2)
4. Ferrer (-1)
5. Wawrinka (+3)
6. Murray (-2)
7. Berdych
8. Federer (-2)

Wawrinka wins
1. Nadal
2. Djokovic
3. Wawrinka (+5)
4. Del Potro (+1)
5. Ferrer (-2)
6. Murray (-2)
7. Berdych
8. Federer (-2)
Well, I think it will be the 1st time for Delpo to be the number 3 :D

The reason why Federer lost the match is because Nadal has the tools to defeat him on any surface. Nadal is pretty great and a horrible match up for Federer on top of it. It's only normal that he wins the encounters. It's a testament of Federer's abilities that he has won 10 of their meetings, honestly it could've been worst for him. I still remember the beat down on the french open final, Nadal doesn't even need to have an extraordinary day to beat Federer, his normal level is enough. The same thing can't be said of Novak.

R64 at USO and AO though... Well if he's third then he's third, but I would prefer if he was living up to his seedings when it matters. He did play many good BO3 matches though.
He just isn't that good in Grand Slams, don't know why. I think he has to work on his fitness.

Not deserved? 2013 he played really good.

No, he didn't. He played inconsistently. In 250s and 500s he played well, in Masters and Slams he played poorly. Given for the top players, ranking is much more important for Slams and Masters, Del Potro's ranking certainly looks disproportionate. I'd rather have Wawrinka there.

RIP Roger. Dropping out of top 10 soon?

(I watched the match in Norwegian because the Finnish EuroSport commentator is... how can I put this... BEYOND EXCREMENT)

He was in the finals of Indian Wells and Shanghai. You can't win any Masters tournament if Nadal and Djokovic takes 8/9 of them. And he had this amazing match against Djokovic @ Wimbledon, was one of the highlights of 2013.

No, Roger is safely entrenched in top 8 for the time being.
(isn't Norwegian completely different than Finnish? speakig Finnish, Norwegian and English sounds pretty badass I must say :))

Courier paid to asked Nadal what the key was to winning the match tonight. Meanwhile kids are starving in Africa.

Guess we better start calling Federer Grandpa Dimitrov from now on.

Federer doesn't play often, does he? I can't imagine any other reason why he's number eight.
Yeah he skipped Miama, Monte Carlo & Canada Masters...but he only won 1 tournament last year. So it was a pretty poor year for him and that is the reason why he is now the number 8.

R64 at Wimbledon, R16 at US Open, only one final in MS1000, only one SF in MS1000, one final at ATP500 level and one ATP250 title. Sounds about right for a #8 to be honest. Luckily for him he can climb back easily if he sustains this form.

Assuming Nadal wins, the rankings look like this, with the brackets after the name showing the number of tournaments that player currently has counting towards their points.

1. Nadal (21)
2. Djokovic (18)
3. Juan Martin del Potro (22)
4. David Ferrer (24)
5. Stanislas Wawrinka (25)
6. Andy Murray (19)
7. Tomas Berdych (24)
8. Roger Federer (20)

So, Federer's slightly below the top 8 average no. of tournaments played, but even if he played, say, 22, around the average, it'd probably only move him up to no.6. I'm assuming he enters and wins 2 more 250s here).

Well, that was supremely disappointing. I really did think that this match had the potential to be something special, with Nadal stumbling slightly through his draw and Federer looking imperious with new found confidence and belief. For him to go down like that in straight sets, it has to be kind of devastating for him. Perhaps there's another slam in him, but one thing is for sure, he'll need someone to take out Nadal on the way. Where's Robin Sorderling when you need him?

Another thing, we can no longer call this a rivalry anymore, what with the age gap and Roger being that little bit slower and Rafa seemingly in the form of his life, it's become too one sided; like Federer and Roddick.

GOATsol and Darcis will suffice =]

The Djokovic-Nadal rivalry is way bigger and with 22-17 for Nadal way more balanced and exciting :)
