Update:
The game will be available on PlayStation Store, and will also feature a completely separate set of Trophies from the PS3 version (go for that double Platinum)! We’re also happy to confirm today that we will be bringing over the DLC that many have asked us about: the Snow Miku 2013 DLC, the Extra Character Modules Pack, and the Extra Songs pack will all be available at launch in March. We’ll be announcing details on pricing for these, as well as the full game, here on the Playstation Blog soon.

We’ll be bringing Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F for the Playstation 3 to AOD, and while we’re at it, we have some exciting news for all you PlayStation VITA owners: we’re happy to announce that the fully localized version of Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA f will release on PSN this March!

Also in attendance will be our Producer for the game, Sam Mullen, who will be arriving Saturday afternoon. Sam is the person who devotes his time to localizing games like Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F, and he’s working right now on bringing the VITA version over to western shores.

Hatsune Miku Project Diva F 2nd launches on PS3 and Vita in Japan on March 6th. How timely of SEGA of America ...

No physical versions for either?

Hatsune Miku Project Diva F had a retail release this past August in North America on PS3. Project Diva f will be DD-only on Vita in the west. It had a retail release in Asia back during the summer of 2012.

F 2nd hasn't been announced for a western release. Japan's getting a physical version for both platforms.

I have had the Japanese version for well over a year and by the time this releases I'll be playing the new one.

They need to work quicker on the localization thing man.

I've been waiting for this for so long, and I've had money set aside ever since the Vita version's localization was announced. Day one.

This is amazing news, I just bought a Vita today and I can't believe how amazing the library is. This just made it even better, now just to get Ouendan on the Vita as well!!

Sega really needs to speed up their localisation. This took waaaay to long.

Will get to support vita though.
Actually, we managed to get the PS3 version localized and out the door (with a physical release, too) very quickly following last year's Facebook post. It came out late August, just about 6 months after the Japanese release, which is pretty fast for a console game.

Following the great reception to that version, we got started on and have been working on the VITA version since.

Nice to see some excitement in the thread for Project DIVA f on VITA! We like making you guys happy. :)

I would have done this if it was also retail.

and no dlc? $40 digital? fuck off sega
Whoa, hold up. We haven't announced anything on pricing yet. :) Nor have we said the DLC isn't coming.

All will be revealed soon... and I think you won't be disappointed.

Sega did really poorly with the pricing of the PS3 game in the UK, firsttly it was DL only. It was announced the week before launch to be £34.99. On launch it went up at £31.99 then later that day jacked up to £36.99 and still is that price. TBH the initial price it was announced at was too high in the first place.

Appreciate the feedback. I work on the North American side of things, so while I don't know exactly what happened in EU, I'll make sure the comment gets passed on.

What is the difference between F and f? Don't feel like double dipping if it is the same thing.
F(PS3) is the expanded port of f(Vita), f is the original game, F has some more songs, f has some Vita functions like AR and other little things IIRC.

Good!

Will buy day 1 even though I platinumed the PS3 version. I'll buy them all as long as you keep them coming.

Thanks for that, if you can Pass on that i'd REALLY like Yakuza 1+2 HD, 5 and the PS4 Isshin that'd be appreciated too.

I was finally going to import the Japanese Vita version of f since it was cheap (and I prefer these games on handhelds), and then the Vita version was announced for localization right before I bought it. Hopefully we can get f2 too...

SEGA, please, PLEASE, announce a localization of F 2nd; It would make my life easier, and I wouldn't have to pick between importing F 2nd or buying the localized version of F (in the near future. Ideally, I will buy both).

Still, cool news. I might have a Vita in the near future, so this would be right down my alley whenever I get that, plus the lower price tag of the Vita version would make the price a little easier to swallow. Either that or a sale of the PS3 version of the game ;)

I imagine whether or not Sega localizes F 2nd is entirely based on how well the first game sells on the Vita.

Well decided to get this and 2nd since it makes getting things easier in the future if they decide to do simultaneous releases at some point.

Have my OG 2nd and Extend lent out and own Dreamy Theater so I'm a big supporter of PD.

Would really enjoy a retail version. I have no room on my memory card for new games! I've been buying retail versions because I no longer have any more space.
