They've had many interpretations. I just don't like the "Big/Little"="Man/Child" voice options in Mario Kart haha.

I used to want Mii, but with the inclusion of both Villager and Wii Fit Trainer, I don't see as much of a niche to fill.
I used to really want Isaac also, and then I started playing golden sun and it kinda sucks.

My newcomers wishlist
1.Duck Hunt Dog - I love/hated that game as a kid. Really like the fake leak idea of shooting from the 4th wall too. Has an nice mascot look to him and Would be a great addition. Chances are very low.
2.Muddy Mole - Really keen for this guy after reading one of the fake leaks. Loved this game as a kid and the digging mechanic would be interesting. Dont see him making it in though.
3.Ridley - Deserves to be in IMO. Ive accepted he won't be playable.
4.Bomberman - Cool character with a rich history. Even crossed over with Nintendo before and would have a unique moveset. Not gonna happen though.
5.Bayonetta - Just because she would be so different to anyone else in the game. Its likely Bayo2 will be her last appearance as well?
6.Sami (Advance Wars) - Great character design, another female and new series rep and great moveset potential.
7.Stunt Race FX vehicles - I don't know how this would work but I would this game to get some representation. Maybe as an assist?
8.Game Boy Camera - I had a lot of fun with this as a kid and it was kind of a precursor to Wario Ware in some ways. So much bizarre content in this game I would love to see it represented in pixellated monochrome goodness. How? No idea.

I know none of these will make it in but it is a wish list.
I think we are getting Pacman, Little Mac, Mii and Palutena. Nothing else. Love all these choices though. Just want more and especially more series to get playable reps.

It's funny because it's true.
Totally forgot about Wars. I definitely want a rep from that series, and with ~15 titles, it definitely deserves it.
I would also love to see Takamaru, but I wouldn't be that disappointed if he's not in as we have plenty of sword users so far, though he could also have magic and projectiles. Mainly I just would like a new Takamaru game first, then Smash spot.
What do you guys think the chances of characters as DLC is?
its hard to say. I feel like chances of dlc characters on a regular basis are slim but a couple surprise characters post launch could happen.
Its defintley more likely that If there is dlc it will be used for alts and maybe stages. I also expect patches this time around.
Mii better be playable.

#TeamFake BTW, the "leaker" could've shown a billion other things besides a character from a 3DS game just standing. I mean, why Battlefield & not a stage we haven't seen before which would FAR harder to fake? Why a photo & not some brief video footage? 1. Rhythm Heaven monkey- His specials could rely on different musical instruments, and it'd be neat if his normals gained strength if timed evenly.
2. Vincent(art academy guy)- a nice workaround for people who don't want Bowser Jr., but like the idea of a paintbrush move set.
3. Dixie Kong- I think she's earned a spot. Pretty easy character to imagine.
4. Medusa - i honestly want her in more than Palutena, but understand it ain't happening of the goddess doesn't get in. She has to have her Cree Summer voice, though. *swoon*
5. Ridley- I honestly do see some validity in the "too big" argument, and i do think ridley brings lots of unique challenges to becoming a playable character, but i think Sakurai and his team are up to the task.

I really want Bayonetta and Impah (Skyward Sword) .
They could get rid of Snake, I never liked him in the game, so I won`t miss him at all. If they want to included someone from Konami, please include someone from Castlevania.

1. Amazing move set potential, unique character design, represents one of the few recent (relatively) character based Nintendo IPs, the games he comes from are amazin', and so on and so forth. Would be super disappointed if he doesn't get in which is probably gonna happen so whateva.
2. Anna
Only Fire Emblem character that has consistently appeared in many games in the series (finally becoming playable in Awakening) and would be an incredibly fresh character compared to the FE reps we have now, in appearance, abilities, gender, and such.
3. King K. Rool
At this point he has a negative chance of showing up but I still think he'd have an amazing move set. Plus he's the only consistent DK villain even if he doesn't exist anymore. Dixie is a hundred times more likely at this point and I wouldn't mind her inclusion one bit so I'm not too upset if she gets in over the King.

Ghirahim would be so awesome.

5 Most Wanted/Wishlist
5) New Pokemon Rep: I don't think this one is guaranteed, but there's so much potential in Gens 5 and 6. Whether it's Zoroark, Genesect, or a Kalos Trainer, I would love a new playable Pokemon.
4) Rhythm Heaven Character: This is one of the most underrated Nintendo series ever. The whole franchise is full humor and character. I can't really decide if the best choice would be Karate Joe, Monkey, or Marshal. But a moveset where timing your attacks with the current song would be amazing. Difficult to pull of, but fun.
3) Shulk: Protagonist of one of the best JRPGs I've played in a loooong time, and swingin that Monado around would be so fun. I think the versatility of the Monado as a weapon makes Shulk an interesting choice.

7) Chrom or Lucina, and Robin. Being able to tag between them with the other providing support like Ice Climbers. Lucina/Chrom should have attacks that use lances to change them up from the existing Fire Emblem characters.
8) Prince Fluff.
9) Hades.

6. K. Rool (We're more than likely getting Dixie instead, though I still feel he'd have more moveset variety if chosen)
7. Shulk (Really just depends on whether 'X' is Xenoblade 2/Online or not about whether he's likely to me, since him/having the Monado in Smash would be a good way to represent one of Nintendo's newer assets with Monolith Soft
8. Bayonetta (Nope, though I still think she'd be hilarious and would take the sting out of Snake not being around if he does get cut for whatever ridiculous reason)
9. Everybody from Brawl returning (I don't see why not at this point after Toon Link, though I could potentially Ike and Snake running the risk, though don't take that observation as a desire since I played both of them a ton)

1)Greater Variations in types of music, not just orchestration, but different types of music, and remixes and revisits of tracks in different genres.
2) Bring back more stages from older games.
3) More indepth trophies
4) That one crazy character that I want in the game. You all know the one
5)Special character intro's and outro's ( brawl had a bit of it ) with chracters who are related to one another in some fashon or may have something in common.
5) Different types of stage themes, an more original stages. Would not just mind a stage that is just a field or a beach.
6) A WAY MORE indepth stage creator.
7) custom music for the stage creator
8) Better online , with lobbies, actual friends lists , being able to enter with a friend into regular online ect. Online tournaments. Reasonable DLC if they decide to go that route.
9) alternate costumes, I would like a lot of them .
