3DS Streetpass Experiences

The queue does max out at 10 at once, but getting a hundred is incredibly easy to doas long as you clear the queue over and over. but going to a place like Shibuya or another one of the downtown areas of Tokyo will allow you to clear it multiple times incredibly quickly when tens of thousands of people walk by you every minute.

I sat down on a bench to meet a friend last night in Shibuya again and the queue would fill, empty and fill again until I finally left. I imagine going to an area like Akihabara you could probably fill it indefinitely as well. Most popular games that people seem to be playing at least that I have come across are Tomodachi Collection, Puzzle Dragon Z, Pokemon X or Y,or Animal Crossing at the moment.

What happens if you hit 50 floors in Monster Manor and don't have all the weapons yet? Is that New Game+?
Floor 50 ends the game, but progress towards the tickets doesn't seem to reset; at least, I only had to get a handful more puzzle boxes to finish up. I finished the weapon ticket around floor 20 of my first play through though.

We hosted a StreetPass MeetUp today (North Dallas area).

I got all but one pink piece for Chibi-Robo, we had some crazy eight-player games of Mario Kart 7, I got to play some wireless Flick Rush in Kingdom Hearts and I spent over an hour talking about how awesome The World Ends With You is.

Two year anniversary MeetUp in March, woo.

That's wonderful, thanks!

I was wondering, without Denpa Men 1, is it worth getting Denpa Men 2?

Your main character from DM1 starts out as your main in DM2, but that's about all there is to the link between the two games. You can start DM2 w/o using your save data from DM1, so it's perfectly fine to play 2 without ever playing 1.

The lamp's name in the EN version is the StreetLamp.

Also, Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns 3DS has a Streetpass feature. Your game can have a streetpass mailbox that you place items into, and when you streetpass another farmer one of your items goes to their streetpass box and you receive an item from their streetpass box. It's mainly for items such as seeds, crops, etc. I don't believe you can streetpass your tools.

Which one are you missing? I'm missing the top and bottom left pieces (almost all of which were acquired via Japanese Special Miis last summer) and I have yet to run into anyone with Chibi Robo pieces I don't already have =/

So it's like the Pokemon Wonder Trade with random swaps. I can imagine preparing seeds of excellent quality to be sent away, and when it's time to open your surprise, it's something like sheep feces.

Kidding, I did get nice Pokemon sometimes. And several Pigeys.

I've passed one person with all of the pink pieces for Chibi Robo at a Nintendo Zone, and hope every time I go there that I'd get her again. I have all the other panels completed, so I don't even know why I want to rush completing it. lol

Yep, or branches, weeds, rocks, etc.

The 3DS version of the game never was released in Japan. It is in NA and EU regions where the streetpass-enabled version exists. The streetpass feature was added into the game during DS->3DS EN localization by Natsume.

I'm almost done w/ the Chibi Robo puzzle. I had to go downtown the other day and, surprisingly, ran into quite a few 3DS players.

Waiting a week for a full queue then finding only 4 of the 9 tags have new puzzle pieces.

I've got something like 16 pieces to go but two puzzles have 3 and 1 piece left, even once they are cleared it isn't like the other two panels are all that likely. I'm not sure why I want to complete. I want to say its so I can blow 200+ play coins on the new puzzle (if we ever get one in Europe) getting all the non-purple pieces and then wind up in the same situation as above.

The cool thing about Bravely Default is you can Streetpass with the demo still even on the real game.
I think the same is true for Denpa Men 2 (I'm still playing the first game so not starting the demo).

Yikes, I got some serious passage today.

AC, Bravely Default, Mario Kart, SM3DL all maxed-out. 28 Monster Hunter tags.

11 Zelda tags in one day is the real shocker, though.

It's sad that Harvest Moon has a better StreetPass function than the flagship Pokémon title.

Thanks for the info, I'll add it to StreetPassing!

Just wait until the next verison of HM ;) The streetpass data will actually be other player's farm data (name, farm name, etc.) and their character will appear as NPCs in your 3DS game. It'll be out at the end of next month in Japan.

Quick question: do you get street passes for all of the games you've played and activated street pass related stuff on or is it only for the game in the 3DS? Just got mine this Christmas and it hasn't ventured out of my house yet lol

Finally got the Mii Force no casualties ticket (final stage was all that was left). First queue of 9 I failed all 3 attempts at the final boss (first 2 attempts I figured out how to best dodge attacks etc, third attempt I got hit once just as I was about to win).

Cashed in my queue of 5 and bought one Orange Mii as you don't benefit from more than 6 on the final boss (Orange laser wrecks the final boss and its long range means you can play it safe, though I think it fires more quickly if you are up close but even at long range you can beat it before it changes phases) and then nailed it first try. Now my play coins are odd though.

I think the same is true for Denpa Men 2 (I'm still playing the first game so not starting the demo).
It is true. Manual says so (some demos have manuals like Denpa Men 2 and Ace Attorney 5 while others don't like Bravely Default).

So many passes.

A great opportunity to get a bunch of the achievements for using specific weapons against a bunch of low-level opponents.

I've had nothing to do with my Plaza passes for a while and feel a little bad about wasting them constantly so I've decided I'm gonna do it..... I'm gonna grow every single flower in every single colour!

Well when you get 80/80 flowers (DID IT! Stupid Wild Lanai...) that is what Mendel suggests you do.

Don't know if I will, but I am going to grow every Blue, Light Blue, Black and White flower possible because Reasons. Five jobs left to gold medal, pity they are all PITAs.

AND FINALLY BEAT THE EMPEROR THIS MORNING. Huzzah, can finally start second loop for Warrior's Way...

It's probably a result of the 6-plaza-pass update. I'm targeting a lot fewer relays now and almost all of the game-specific passes have taken a hit.

I was going to come in and ask about this. When did they apply the update that only allows a maximum of 6 passes per session?

I used to get 9 or 10 each time I would go to the movie theaters and starbucks and I've been getting 6s for a while now. Is there anyway to adjust this?

It just means that each relay could give you up to 6 plaza Miis rather than just 1 per relay.

The 10 Mii limit for the Plaza queue is unchanged.

Sorry I should have just said 'no need to panic' without spoiling it for you, didn't think of that.

I only just got them all the other week so thats why it was fresh in my head heh, I wish there was a Plaza Miiverse Community to post about those kinda moments. :(

Now I'm just finishing up plants and jobs because there isn't much else to do.

Need some more games Nintendo, I really enjoy Streetpass, we just need more mooore! Or at least some new puzzles in EU. >_>

This is kind of a stupid question, but I'm just curious what other folks do:

I was born in Texas where I lived for about a decade. I lived in Massachusetts for about as long before moving to New Hampshire, where I spent three years, and currently live in North Carolina, where I also have spent three years. I list NC as my location in Streetpass, but for folks who move around, do you list your home state/country, or the one you're currently residing in for your Mii?

Also, I'm finally getting Streetpass relay points to recognize me! My Mii Plaza is full of a whopping seven Miis now. Moving up in the world...

I'm moving away soon, so part of me wants to leave emotional goodbye messages to my regular passes.

But what if they reply? And I never return. And I never get to see that reply.

Puzzle swap finally complete so I got to hear the completed jingle again (you hear it when you clear the 7 15 piece puzzles).

I also tried arcade mode of Squad. First batch was good and went smoothly (even if some of the colours were very situational) until 3-1...where I died. I had 3 Miis left in the docking bay, I ended 3-1 with just one and died part way into 3-2.

Second batch was a complete mess and not flowing for some reason so I just quit after 1-3 which is how my arcade playthroughs usually go.

Had an odd Nintendo zone getting 9 Miis (two consecutive zones I guess). I ended up hitting two zones and getting 1 Rhythm Thief hit and two Pokemon ones. 3DS Sound and Braverly Default are the other games I have free slots on so disappointing not to get either of those.

Got to 4-3 in Arcade mode the other day. Not got close since. Only need that and the titles plaza ticket.

Cleared Floor 30 of the Mansion yesterday too. That was pretty exciting. The boss was super easy though. Need to work on those chest tickets. I'm not sure I've ever even seen a Gold chest. Presumably I should be just using one colour, but I'd hate to waste all those passes. Also, getting all the puzzle boxes seems like a stupidly random achievement.

Got to the Emperor in Warriors Way. So, this is totally luck based, right? Stupid.

Got 65 breeds of flower in Garden, and have no idea how to unlock the rest. Again, presumably luck-based, depending on what flower the people you pass are carrying? Is there a way to influence it? I initially thought that breeding flowers would unlock breeds from the within the same family, but it seems more arbitrary than that.

I didn't get the chance to communicate a goodbye message to my regular passes.

They'll probably just assume I died.

You have to create really large rooms in one go to find gold chests - basically make a hollow space a four or five piece could fit inside without creating any rooms on the way. If you can, involve the start space for a floor too, it's a free spot for a chest.

Yep, Emperor is all luck. All you can do is increase your odds by increasing your army count before challenging him.

When you are pulling seeds there is a chance to get a different flower in one of the parent flowers' families. Best you can do is grow flowers for families you haven't finished yet.

RIP in peace.

One more pink piece to complete that Chibi Robo panel!

And yeah, I also don't quite get the mechanics of flowers, but then again, I really haven't had the need to care much since I'm only at 40 breeds with one and a half shelves of seeds to plant that yields new breeds. However, there's a good chance of getting a new breed when you pass someone you've passed multiple times before, right?
