I, personally, have no problem with him but I don't think he is that liked overall.

He does get the same advantage Cena does(re the rest of the card being forced to suck as to not make them look bad), but he's actually capable of putting on good matches/feuds and does frequently. Not every single night like Bryan, but way more then Cena's one non crappy match per year.
