Nothing against the Vita, I just don't have one and I've been wary of getting non-Nintendo handhelds. Never used my PSP for instance.

That got me thinking... Microsoft announces Gears purchase, so what does Sony do? Announce an exclusive partnership with Epic for their next-gen fps franchise the next day. Probably won't happen especially the next day, but the fallout here would be fun to watch.

My guess is a major PS4 firmware update but it could be plenty of other things as well (DriveClub release date, PSNow announcement, Feb US PS+ lineup, whatever that 'slim' announcement is and so on).
