New alpha version of Prison Architect came out, and just by looking through some of the updated files it appears some variable parameters may have changed.

Damnit, gonna have to do some digging to make sure Gaffers are as skinny/medium/brown/ginger as they requested.

Also, they added in an armory room you can build and armed guards you can hire. I wonder who will be the first to break in there and start shooting the place up.

Armed Guards

You can now hire armed guards to patrol your prison, intimidate your inmates, and put down trouble.
You must research the Armoury first, and your armoury requires a weapons rack and one locker per armed guard on site.
Armed guards have a strong "Suppression" effect on all prisoners near them, making the prisoners less likely to misbehave.
They can be instructed to follow a patrol from the Deployment screen.
They will only use lethal force if you give them permission - by clicking the "Weapons Free" Emergency button.
They will always shout a warning first, unless a Prisoner is attacking a member of staff (guard, armed guard, administrator, etcetera).
They will also shoot on sight any prisoner who is about to escape, without shouting a warning, so long as they have "Weapons Free."

Note: Armed guards who genuinely fear for their lives may still shoot, even if you have not given them permission via "Weapons Free."
Note: The Armoury must be very secure. Your most dangerous prisoners will attempt to raid it during a riot or mass escape event

Has Andre Reed's head always been like this?

It's Gata's birthday? Happy birthday to my favorite swamp dweller (aside from Cajun)!

Go Niners.

wait this isn't the offseason thread

That's exciting. Even beyond the fact that they were played on Thursdays, the games on NFL Network always felt cheap and low stakes to me for some reason. I think their presentations just had a lower production value than the NBC and ESPN primetime games.

Says the Pats fan.

Not a Pats fan but you have to respect what they have achieved in the past 15 years. Over a decade of excellence that other franchises can only hope to obtain.

Yet we as a group spit on their fanbase out of sheer jealousy. I for one can only hope the Texans have half that success the next decade. Not 30 years of futility like some other franchises whose history only goes back a few years according to some.

Thinking about it, I'd be for a four point FG if the qualification for it was 60+ yards.

Places more value on great kickers.

Appropriate downside for a miss: Great field position for opposition.

Gives more incentive for coaches to go for points instead of punting when a drive stalls midfield. More offense is a good thing. More tactical options is a good thing.

Anything longer than 60 yards will qualify. If a team crosses the 40 yard line, they earn the option to kick a 4 pointer at any point in the current drive (ball will be placed at the 43 yard line for attempt).

You used to be cool.

But now I hate you with your Pat propaganda. Stop spreading these lies and focus on your own team.

mech, 2013 was a tough year for you. many trials and tribulations that you had to overcome (schoob). i'm so happy to see that you've done so well beating the odds, and ultimately becoming a better person.

praise bill

Just had a thought about the broadcasting act that keeps Friday and Saturday games out of the regular only applied to within 75 miles of school. I wonder when NFL attempts to turn either date or both into a international game of the week.

Mech, you were the Chosen One! It was said you would destroy the Cheats, not join them! Bring balance to the League, not leave it in darkness! Now you've become the very thing you swore to destroy!

Lol at Vinny saying 50+ yds should be 4pts. Ever since he accepted Tebow into his heart and left the Pats, he's been a pretty likeable guy. Definitely GOAT Kicker for having balls of stone. The one taint on his legacy is bailing Tammy and the Cheaters out. I hope we re-sign him, and that Luck gets him another ring.

With that aside, I think increasing the value of the Kicker is a good thing. Especially since the League and Goodell have a massive boner for changing things that really don't need to be changed. Like the extra point, and the playoff format. But I don't think this is the way to do it. Making it a more points depending on yardage thing just seems like it would change way too much, and coaches will be a lot more mindfucked in end game situations.

Maybe instead of having shitty ties we can have penalty FGs!

i just think people tried to anoint him as an elite QB too early. he's not elite. he's a mid-tier QB like a lot of other guys. you could definitely do worse but if you stuck him on the raiders he wouldn't improve them much if at all whereas a guy like peypey or erron would

I'd put him and Kap in the Tier 2 area right now. I think Kap has higher highs but lower lows as well

Hopefully the future is bright!!

BY THE WAY I can't believe malware bytes is stopping its free version, that sucks nards!!

Kaep is better than Wilson right now and has more physical tools.

That being said I think Wilson will outwork him.

Neither can read a defense to save their lives, methinks Jafar is nothing without Iago.

I'd bet good money you didn't click on the link!

Grocery shopping done and so much food will be consumed on Sunday. Might pick up a few things on sunday morning as well after a must have Gym session so I don't feel too terrible eating so much.

edit: Also, the ATL guys describing the Jay Glazer SB party was hilarious.
