what is up with all this New York talk?

the Meadowlands is nowhere near NYC, it's in the wastelands of New Jersey.

The news and media folk on TV are annoying. You can't hop on a subway fomo downtown to MetLife Stadium, LOL

I refuse to call the Giants as NY Giants. I called them New Jersey Giants

Jersey Jets has a nice ring to it.

I haven't posted in this thread yet (I think). Go Broncos!!!
This game could go anyway and I'm legit nervous for the first time this season.

was more curious what you add

Basic recipe is:

3 large avacados
1 clove of garlic - pressed
1 tsp salt
1 jalapeno - chopped
some rough cut cilantro
1 lime or half a lemon - just squeeze the juice in there

Mash with a potato masher, refrigerate for 30 minutes to an hour to let the flavors combine

There's a Mexican market out here that fries their own chips. Highly recommended.

We posting recipes now?

MAN DIP:

1lb Salsiccia Sausage
1 block of cream cheese
1 can of Rotel (I actually use store brand diced tomatoes and green chiles because it is a larger can for cheaper.)
Chopped jalapenos to taste

1. Add Cream cheese, rotel and as many jalapenos as you want to a crockpot on low.

2. Pan cook sausage until brown. Drain and add to crockpot.

3. Mix, heat, and serve with Tortilla chips.

I'm making a double batch of MAN DIP for tomorrow.

Fun topic time. Favourite football movie?!

Friday Night Lights for me. An absolute classic and gives me lots of feels taking me back to my high school days.

Only thing that bothers me about football movies is the unrealistic hits they have. You'll see a guy get tackled/hit and he's doing a triple flip before he lands on the ground.

Also are we really only at 1450 posts on the Friday before the Super Bowl? THE FUCKING SUPER BOWL?

I don't normally post much in the NFL threads but since my team is in the big game I'm trying to find something to occupy the free time until it starts. With the exception of the yankees winning in 09 (I'm not a huge baseball guy anyway), none of my teams have even been in the title game since the 90s let alone won it so I don't really remember how to deal with the wait. I'm nervous and excited as hell.

Friday Night Lights is a good pick. Can't argue that! And yes, the overdramatic hits are too be expected. They're pretty silly, but that's what movies do!

My pick is probably Remember The Titans, feels like I've watched it countless times, and always watch it when I see it on tv.

tomorrow won't be a cold as every doomsdayers claimed it would, it will be warmer in NJ tomorrow than it was last week in the South

tomorrow will be above average high for the time of year

Hmm.

If the weather holds up the and event goes off without any major complaints, dip in ratings, or money loss....Eagles stadium could be considered for a possible SB.

Owner Lurie recently poured a lot of money in upgrading the LCD displays partnering with Panasonic to create the best HD quality display of any boards in any stadium. Plus more renovation work to the overall facilities and stadium.

The place itself is only 10 years old so Philly could be next as a cold weather northeast city considered by the NFL.

Newark Airport Jets.

As I'm here in SF, I want to see Seattle burrrrrrnnnnnn.

As a whiskey drinker, Denver produces some of the best in the States outside of Kentucky.

So I will be cheering on the Broncos, and a bottle of Stranahan's will be emptied by me and my mates.

To victory!

My brother has a bottle of that and he is opening it tomorrow. I've been trying to find it everywhere because he swears by it but I haven't had much luck in the Portland area. Ironically enough, he's a huge Seahawk fan. Will be interesting drinking Colorado whiskey while cheering for the Washington team.

I wanted to make a thread about this. Its bad enough Giants and Jets fans from NY have to lie to ourselves that they're NY teams but its driving me nuts to see everyone pretending and lying that all this is taking place in NY. ESPN was running with the headline, "the city that never sleeps"....UGH. We had our chance to get a football stadium but the rich fucks in NY killed that idea so lets stop with the games. None of this shit is taking place in NY.
