PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4/PSP) | February 2014

This looks kinda fun.

Deception is a lot of fun, if you're more into planning attacks than executing them. The execution is still key, but I always spent way more time laying out my series of traps and finding ways to extend my combos as long as I could. It really is a unique game.

Having not played it since I was a teenager, I'm excited to see what I think about it now. I'll probably enjoy just for the nostalgia alone, regardless of the actual quality.

Ugh... Getting the medals in Rayman Origins for the mosquito levels later in the game is a colossal pain... So irritating.

Copyright issues. Notice any screenshot from any Vita game has the name of the game on the lower right?

Only a few of my Vita games do this. Most do not.

Goddamn it, Outlast will NOT be available for UAE. They will replace it with sound shapes. I would switch to different region but I have already bough psn+ subscription. I am so pissed now.

Really can't get in to Soul Sacrifice. It's just not fun dying over and over and then having to go do fights over and over to get better spells. I just don't get the appeal of games where I die in 3 hits to everything and the controls are so clunky I can't lock on and I have to mash a button to dodge roll.

Although it does feel good to beat something that had been getting me. I just feel like I'm cheesing everything in this game.

You don't really need to grind much in soul sacrifice though. I am pretty sure you are just equipping the wrong spells, or just playing some forgotten pact where you are way underlevelled. Play the story mode, and play through the forgotten pacts starting from the lower difficulty first. Shouldn't have to play anyission more than once or twice to make it through.

Also, stop sacrificing everything if you are dying too quickly. Saving monsters increases your durability.

There is lock-on.

VitaBounce sexy as fuck.

Uuuuhhhhhhhhhh.

Sweet Fuse? Hakuoki? but they are for PSP. Most of the eroge/galge/visual novels don't leave Japan so I don't think you have a choice.

Edit: How can I forget VitaBounce? You would most probably be bouncing with feelings after playing that.

I wouldn't be comfortable playing games where the point is for the player to chase after dudes romantically.

Also, it doesn't have to be visual novels or whatnot... stuff like FFIX or VIII or X would be great. Hell, I'll take "implied romance" too.

Lunar Silver Star Harmony look sooo pretty on the vita oled screen.

It's too bad that they have Yuri Lowenthal playing as Alex; I am somewhat sick of his voice already.

I haven't played Sweet Fuse but I have Hakuoki. I'm a straight male. You don't need to be attracted to dudes to enjoy it :P That's only like half of the story while the other half is pretty much about politics and an upcoming war if I remember correctly.

Vita really does need some more Visual Novels though :(

Finally got that dumb medal in 'Don't Shoot the DJ'. God I hate these mosquito levels in Rayman... It only took me three complete runs, but still... My wrist hurts from rapidly tapping the X button excessively.

Okay, thanks. I hope Tizoc complies with this. He's too busy watching Evangelion to care.

Is he doing the DanganRonpa OT?

Holy crap! DanganRonpa comes out next week :DDDDDDDDDD I had forgotten :lol
Where should I pre-order from? I live in California. Is there a place that has it that doesn't have sales tax?

He's doing Toukiden. I don't know who's doing the OT for DanganRonpa but I hope he does the OT by tomorrow too because I'm planning on buying both. FMW (fuck my wallet)

I wonder if DanganRonpa will become hard to find after a while. It's a visual novel so I doubt the print is going to be that big. Doesn't help that it's on the Vita too.

Any suggestions where I should pre order?

Hot DAMNNNNNNN Toukiden and Danganronpa going out by force.

Which one to buy first? Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarghhhhhhhh.

My gut says Danganronpa, but Toukiden looks enticing too.... aaaaaaaarggggggggh.

Digital version for both, of course. Though I am having a hard time to decide which one I should be getting first, arggh.

Given that the LEs are already out of stock and is only sold through NIS stores, I guess the demand is relatively high for this game. I would expect a second print of some sort. I mean VLR isn't that rare to find nowadays.

There are preorders for Amazon and Gamestop. I suggest Gamestop if one is close to you.

Getting Toukiden and Danganronpa both day 1 digital. Shame we have to wait till the 14th (Probably more like the 15th since Europe gets it on the 14th) here though.

I was going to order the LE but I was too late :(
Think I'll just order from gamestop and pick it up on my way home next week.

Ok Soul Sacrifice is really fun. I feel like since I'm just starting out and I don't have access to many offerings that things are harder than they should be. I'm getting the basic gist of combat and the game mechanics down pretty well. Just trying to keep myself balances for right now. The narrative is fun and makes playing the game better.

Are you using melee (arm/weapon) skills? They suck. Try using ranged (throw) spells.

Getting away from melee skills made the game click for me (you have to dodge and run for your life using ranged spells too, of course).

And as bobby said, raise your life lvl to get some beefyness.

Yeah I was relying on melee for awhile. I have started using ranged a lot more and had some success.

Apparently there's no PSone compatible games on Vita Euro thread à la the NA one.

Who from the EU likes to make threads around here?

It is.

But I'm sure as heck not making it just so GAF can have another thread where half the people go
"I don't care if I'm a fan of this game or that I want it, it has some form of censorship and I don't want it"
*finger in ear going lalalala*

And the other half can go,
"Wow that's really something. Would you rather not have the game at all? You're send the wrong message by straight up not buying it."

Then Flandy baits Killatopak into making a rape joke and the thread gets locked by Kagari.

It would get closed probably within the first 3-4 pages like the last one. The porn brigade will come back.

It's actually a removal of the art of 50 out of 350 cards. The cards themselves are still in the game, but the art for them aren't.

Some of the art still is, iirc. It's just that the more risque versions are NOT in game.

We decided to release Monster Monpiece in these markets because we wanted to make our fans happy. However, if those same fans find that the modifications we felt we had to make have made the localized version of the game completely unacceptable, perhaps it was not the right decision to try to localize and publish this title for these markets. Perhaps it would be in the best interest of both our fans and our Company to publish only those titles that will not require any censoring or modification.

This part is sort of depressing... does this mean we won't get Moero Chronicle? :( Though for the most part, I think most fans who wanted the game are okay with it unless there's some vocal group on Facebook or in emails...

Yeah, we got eight inches of snow here last night, which is the most we've had in YEARS.

jteT2rCPd7xGT.jpg

Here where I live it doesn't snow... never. I want to see snow, even if I know it's going to become a hassle after the first 15 minutes :(

Vitabounce is the most erotic experience of balls bouncing off of paddles that I've ever seen.

VitaBounce sexy as fuck.

Wow, to both of you. I've seen a video about the game and it's... mindblowing

I'm getting both but I'm going to play Toukiden first as there will be bigger online community.

This is correct. You can always play Danganronpa and the story wouldn't ever change while if you play Toukiden a few months late the online community might be barren by then.

People should at least take in in mind if they ever plan on buying just a single game.
I'm proud of my accomplishment
Nintendo Shill.

This is a fair reasoning, and since I'll be getting the digital version anyways I am in no hurry for facing out-of-stock Danganronpa or anything like that. Hmmmm.

And we can play with people from Japan right? At least the community will be bumped up somewhat by that.

I'm doing this too. Toukiden now, Danganropa a little later.

Although the fact that I live in a location with a 12 hours difference with the US will make it fuck hard to find the proper time to play with you folks :\

Say, what's the best game in Vita that you can think of VitaGAF that involves romance?

I am in the mood for some digital lovey dovey.

Be a multiple lover and play P4G or start NG+ if you already finished it!
Good story too.

Hrm.
Where is my Destiny of Spirits. No one knows nothing about release day and their official Twitter @dos_official_en doesnt answer (latest tweet is from 4.11.2013). *Grumble*. Beta was fun, would be nice to see, how different (slow) is the released version of DoS.
