And yep, that pretty much nixes any chance of Spear Pillar returning, haha. I wonder if we'll get "retro" stages at all this time around? I really hope we do, but they almost felt like an afterthought in Brawl...

If they're smart they'll pack up all the old stages, give them a shiny new HD paintjob, and release them in packs as DLC. I know I would buy some shiny HD Smash 64 stages!

That's what I said a few pages back! If they do bring back old stages, it would be a crime for them to not capitalize on the hardware to make them HD.

I'm happy with the increasing number of Pokémon reveals/news for Smash Bros. There's been a tiny amount of Pokémon news up until the Lucario reveal. There wasn't even a character reveal for the release date of X/Y.

Speaking as someone who generally disliked Brawl's stage selection, I am also quite fond of Spear Pillar. It was aesthetically nice and had a fun gimmick to it that was fun without being something that would frustrate you. Well, unless Cresselia showed up. She was a jerk.

That sounds like the best idea ever, though I really doubt it's that elaborate. I'm guessing it just throws out some beams like it did in Speak Pillar and goes away.

It was an interesting stage, wasn't that hard to adjust, but it does get kind of intrusive at times during a match.

Marth has become the mascot of Fire Emblem so it'd seem odd to lock him away but have other FE characters unlocked from the start. However I'm not sure if just announcing a playable character prior to release guarantees any sort of locked or starter character.
