MS finally fully embracing being a software company first. Next Xbox will be a streamlined living room PC that will be able to play all the Sony PC ports.

Sure, playing PC ports 3 years later = Day 1 games on Playstation

Basically they have a chance to go back to PS2 numbers starting next year with GTA VI

3 years? Spider-Man 2 took just a little over a year. Ragnarok took just under 2 years. Stellar Blade, just over a year.

this shouldn't spark any drama at all, specially because Xbox is doing it for survival (which is not even a guarantee).... i don't see Xbots crying in their car and such. I think even they feel this shit is over and it's just time to pray for Xbox incredibly bright future
 
That is the last of Xbox's core, pillar franchises (Halo/Gears/Forza) to get sent to PS -- and the one most closely associated with Xbox. It's not surprising to anyone but the hardcore deniers, but it is still quite significant. If there was any game central to Xbox's success and identity, it was Halo. And now it's shipping on PS. As someone who played Halo on the OG Xbox 25 years ago, I find it a little amazing.
 
No Xbox exclusives means less pressure on PlayStation to invest on his first party output. Sony doesn't need Naughty Dog anymore.

Meanwhile, Nintendo printing money with trashy $13 million budget Pokemon and reheated Wii and Switch games for Switch 2.

Yup, going forward Sony has zero competition (if you could call Xbox competition for the past decade).

Don't get me wrong. Sony in the PS5 gen can be described with many adjectives, few/none of them very appealing. But getting into the hardware business, it's not so easy. As has been evident with what's going on here.

PS port sales have been pretty shit on PC. They don't seem to want them.
 
I really just want the chief collection on ps5 to play through them with my son on couch co op.
