I just picked it up tonight. I find the parry timing quite difficult. I can say I dont really get how it works like other games.

Ninja Gaiden Black is available exclusively on Xbox consoles, and you can purchase it digitally from the Xbox store on newer Xbox systems.

This game mightve dethroned Veilguard as the worst game of 2020s for me, if i didnt know better and blindly played it id assume this was the very first Ninja Gaiden game that was made before the studio got good and made the other ones.
HuhWhy? Because of the extreme focus on blood, gore, dismemberment
How long for the plat? I'm gonna start it soon, any suggestions for tackling the platinum.. Can I just play and piece it all together?Got the platinum trophy earlier, what a heck of game! My man @Heimdall_Xtreme already made a great thread reviewing it. But I honestly hope folks would give it a try if you haven't.

NG4 is quite a lot more accessible compared to previous entries - the command lists are much easier to pull off (for some fancy movement). The game does a better job tutoring you through the game systems and you can access the training room during the missions.
The best part for the game being satisfying is that you don't have to be an action game guru to pull off some fancy combos. With very moderate practice time, you should be able to find some movements that are effective and slick, and then hack and slash through the whole game.
But that doesn't mean they dumbed down the core identity of the Ninja Gaiden IP. There are many great action games on the market, but in terms of "high-speed action game", NG4 really offers a unique experience.
In most character action games, the normal enemies/mobs are pretty much present here as dummy punch bags to let you slash, but in NG every enemy is lethal, you have to be constantly moving, positioning, dodging and fighting when there are openings. So it's not about to have best muscle memories to pull off infinite aerial combos, it's more about find most effective ways to dismember each enemy type, and quick obliterate them. Also, you gotta be smart about managing the blood orbs in the arena for UTs. Compared to others, I'd say even though NG4 is much faster pace, it actually is more about tactics rather than muscle memory and reflex.
Some criticism says Yakumo is a weak main protagonist compared to Ryu, that's for sure. But dual characters does offer more replayability. I finished the master ninja playthrough via Ryu, and plan to do it again with Yakumo as his style and weapons offer quite different experiences.
The game is actually very lengthy compared to peers, my first normal playthrough took about 20 hours. Honestly I am quite grateful Microsoft funded this game and let it come out. It's just its exposure and popularity seem abysmally low. Hope more folks would give it a try. Truly an underrated gem.
Lastly, some more gifs, hopefully gonna sell the game to some folks.
