I'm excited to see more of the D4 variant of the Warlock in that march stream. See how they differentiate it from Necromancer.
I was just laughing at my friend in our discord server about his complaint with D4 is between all the systems it's too complex now and he can't build a decent build by himself without following the current meta builds. D4 team said "F*** you in particular" and has added more complexity.

The D2R version of warlock is pretty cool so far. Mainly just using the Miasma Bolt.

Yeah, I'm using the hex weapon buff and cleave. It's fun. I just got ring of fire from an item and it is crazy damage. Gonna roll with melee on Steam and maybe a caster on the Game Pass version unless I already got all of the achievements on the Xbox. I don't remember. Getting new achievos on the Steam version is nice. Didn't take long at all to get the 500 monster kill one.

I definitely wasn't expecting a D2 update lol, looks pretty good.
Only criticism really is that the Warlock just art wise looks so out of place to me, he looks like he belongs in a way more cartoony and stylized game or even BG3 but with a grey filter on him not really in D2.
He just looks too '' clean '' and flamboyant imo more like a DnD Warlock rather than Diablo 2.

I agree with most of his comments. I think the could have ordered his feedback/critisim a bit differently, but he is Chris "Goddamn" Wilson and he has experience/knowledge that is worth sharing.

Looking forward to the end game changes. The grind for primal powers was a slog in s11, being able to string together the events I like/want to play sounds like a welcomed change.
I finished all of S11 but it was a PITA.

Okay these Mythic Prankster NMD are busted. I crafted a bunch of sigils and found one. I then asked trade chat if anyone wants to do a rotation with me, and one person said yes. Now I have ELEVEN mythics and I'm not even in Torment 4 yet lol.

Agreed. I respect them trying to do something different than "something something powers" part 6, but the progression and implementation of that mechanic missed the mark, IMO.

100% agree. No way anyone thought the primal progression would be fun…esp when the meta is most people just standing around for hours while folks spam azma kills.
The next season looks like very minimal in terms of content so either I'll skip it or just dip in and out. Looking forward to the expansion and playing the warlock.

Also, I really really hope the plot going forward is more character and lore driven rather than "main characters act illogically stupid and now we have to go fix it".

If you play on console, linking to battle net is useful since then you can use the battle net client on your laptop to do messaging, add and remove friends and so on. This is less important since they added the find a group thing, but nevertheless... not a bad a thing to do.

They're ultra rare. General recommendation is to level and use the azmodan power that gives you extra sigils and then do anything that gets you sigils.

I found one the first day I started playing again at Paragon 30ish by salvaging a bunch of sigils and then crafting a bunch of my own until I found it.

Luckily I had one stuffed away in my sigils. Didn't realise it dropped as a legendary, though it was an IF compass. So I got my HoP. My shit build really shines now!!!
Just need a Vex rune now. So gonna run UC and think Im done. Been a good season all told, though mostly because they just showered us all with OP loot.

I got a few on regular nightmare dungeon keys...just the affix was slightly purple. Are runes tradable (I am assuming not) but if so if you are still online just drop me a message ill hook you with some of the runes.

They already nerfed it to hell and back (pun intended I guess) in the PTR for season 12.

I doubt enough people care about steamrolling the game to make it a marketing strategy. Prepurchase now and instead of waiting 6 months you get a new toy today - is more of a hook, imho.

While I have no confirmation of this (and this is purley timing related I am sure) the Paladin release was exactly like the Warlock release for D2.
The Paladin has no act content, reuses a lot of assets (well in the first week it did anyway), and was presetned as a sneak peak of the class.
From what I can tell by playing it worked very well for them in D4 given how many paladins I have seen through this season.
If I was the D2 team seeing that amount of support for just a character with no content (essentially just getting plopped into a new season) would have made feel much less worried about the Warlock reception in D2.
