How big is your gaming backlog?

No more than five games actually.
I also plan to further clean my physical collection to about 100 games from currently 200. Was 500 some years ago...

I respect my time more now.
Unless I fully enjoy a game I stop immediately.
It's liberating.

The real backlog is my favourite games that I want to replay.

It's around 40 for me atm. That is after working my way through quite a few over Xmas newyear, and cleaning some old games out that I've lost interest in.

Still keep adding to it in the sales though, I can't say no.. ..I am weak.

I'm actually good on Xbox and PS5 but I put some real effort into staying caught up because I play a bunch of different games at any one time. Valheim is the only console game in my backlog right now.

I have 35 games in my Steam backlog (which are mostly Strategy games) as
I became a PC gamer just under 2 years ago. That number will just get bigger as I buy more games than I can finish.

Mass Effect Trilogy
Zelda TotK
Outer Wilds
DKC Tropical Freeze
Metal Gear Solid 1

I try to keep things on wishlists nowadays and only get games when I know I'll play them. My list right now is too long as it is and it puts a damper on my gaming mood. I feel stressed out over having wasted my money by not actually sitting down with the games.

Whatever gain I'd get from saving money on sales a year before is negated if I don't actually play them.

1147 on Xbox ( all of them digital)
62 in steam.

I have not even played half of them. I suppose one day when I'm old and retired they will keep me busy.

Zero

On Playstation i had a huge backlog tied to PS+ from the monthly games that i kept adding to my library. But since im not subscribed anymore that backlog only becomes active again if I renew my sub, so zero at the moment.
On Steam, i have a couple of old games on my library that i never played and have no intention to ever play them, i only buy new games on steam once i finish the ones i recently bought.

Around 70 games so pretty manageable. I've reduced my buying habits considerably the last few years and only buy maybe one or two a month. I should clear it within the next few years.
