I'm not a Spencer shill in the slightest but he genuinely believed his own words but when Nutella saw the receipts from the 4 games all that went out of the window.

It is a solid 7/10 game. But that feeling... as you expect a date with a young hot girl, instead is a 50yo woman with fake tits and a lot of makeup.

It depends...imagine if you could double your game sales by going down from 80 to 50 bucks. Aren't you making more money?

You think games like Claire Obscure going viral would be possible without that pricetag?
You still aren't making more money in that scenario because you're likely more than halving your profit with the $30 drop in price.

Claire Obscure being $50 only points toward a lower budget.

Obviously some games are priced lower due to lower budgets. 'Indie games' are even cheaper. And obviously some F2P/GaaS games have shown you can make a ton of money being free. Easier said than done given all the doomed GaaS games. It seems like that space is much like the mmorpg space. There's room for a few and then it becomes very difficult for newcomers to break thru.

Looks like they've gone a long way to fix a pot of the glaring issues people had at launch and that caused many of the mediocre reviews.

If Bethesda in space is something you might be interested in, and you liked their other game, might as well give it a shot yourself if you haven't tried yet and form your own opinion.

Jokes aside though:
PS5 only players will find a game that, on the surface, seems promising enough, but will find mostly disappointment when they start diving deep in. The first 10 ish hours are pretty good, and then it kinda nose dives when you realize every enemy base is the same, almost every planet is barren and empty with nothing to do, and the main quest is…not great.

Not to say there isn't some good shit here though. The factions quests are mostly pretty good, the ship building is very good, and the combat feels decent enough.

Unless that new Terran Armada DLC is good, don't drop $70 on the premium edition. The first DLC looked promising with how it was dealing with more of the weird that I wanted, but ended up being awful.

Crazy isnt it.

From the developers of Skyrim and Fallout, we get a space exploration game that as you say for the first 10 or so hours your excited by the planets and space travel, but then soon find out everything is rinse and repeat on a 10x10 square planet.

Such a waste of potentional.

50 is reasonable for what it comes with and that most games are 70, I'll be buying and I'll enjoy it. I enjoyed the core game when it launched but I'll happily platinum this.

And the final game from this famous list is coming to PS5.

This really just shows how nothing is set in stone. But still...the day a Halo is on Playstation will still blow my mind. That would be like a Super Mario going to Playstation. Now we are used an Xbox games on other platforms but it wasn't always like that.

Same I gave away my Xbox because I just didn't have time when most of my gaming was already on PS5 only on weekends due to work and family and this is the one game I missed. I wonder if it will allow account porting so I don't have to start over. I got spoiled on this with Cyberpunk.

It's been so long I think tho starting may be beneficial but that's just me, but yea I liked the main story overall it was standard Bethesda stuff which I liked, and the combat wasn't bad either... I found the planets just bland and repetitive. Im thinking this time around it'll be a bit more interesting hopefully, looking forward to it 👍

Even if it was free, this game would be a rip off. Hours and hours wasted on this crap always thinking that maybe it would get better. It doesn't.

Don't waste your money and time on this crap.

Trying to look at it positively, maybe it will be a more enjoyable experience for PS5 players, since they know in advance that approaching Starfield like a normal Bethesda RPG won't work, because the planetary exploration is boring. So they'll stick to the main quest, faction quests, and side quests. Maybe that will make it a more enjoyable experience for them, since a lot of the frustration among Xbox and PC players seem to revolve around how boring the free-roam exploration (normally a big draw in Bethesda games) was.

$50 Is smart choice, but if they wanna be more frugal, come in super cheap with launch sale, pump those numbers up so you can impress shareholders with the "player engagement"
