Wasnt his show cancelled? Like they are going to be making up a ton of material for this season anyway.

Damn I can't wait. Still can't believe the show is already at AOW

Isnt Kirkman done with the show and AMC. I remember reading something about him and a couple of others suing AMC for a billionThey better get a filler arc ready so Kirkman-sama can create more canon material.

As far as I know the lawsuit isn't having an impact on Kirkman and the other producers working on the show. Kirkman did tho make a deal with Amazon for any future shows. So I bet things are pretty weird between him and AMC.Isnt Kirkman done with the show and AMC. I remember reading something about him and a couple of others suing AMC for a billion
He's at the Sanctuary still with Negan.I can't remember, where did Eugene end up after the battle at Alexandria?
”There is one character that is going to go from one show, that I will not name, to another show, that I will not name," Kirkman told the crowd of what has been a question fans have asked since prequel of sorts FearTWD debuted in the summer of 2015. ”This is a huge event in the world of The Walking Dead," he added of the crossover expected to occur in the next year.
”There is one character that is going to go from one show, that I will not name, to another show, that I will not name," he continued. ”Now, what does that mean? Because these timelines, like... how does that work? Are we going to see an interesting backstory of a Walking Dead character in Fear the Walking Dead? Or are we going to see a Fear the Walking Dead character show up in The Walking Dead and show a future version of the character?"
Im guessing Abe or Rosita. The Walking Dead Plans Crossover With Fear The Walking Dead
Any guesses?
I think the current season of Fear the Walking Dead is, timeline wise, at around season 2 of The Walking Dead. Given that, I can't imagine we'll get any TWD characters on FtWD unless it's a minor character like Morales (#MoralesLives) or maybe someone like Jesus or Negan, who plausibly could have been around the US/Mexico border before they came to the Washington DC area. It's also possible that they're planning a time jump between seasons 3 and 4 of FtWD, which would bring it up to speed with TWD's current timeline, but a single character crossover still wouldn't make sense unless it was someone who's been off the show for quite some time (Heath?).
I think it's likelier that we'll see a FtWD character show up on TWD, which would mean a time jump for that character, not to mention that it would erase any tension for them on FtWD since everyone would know they survived the next few years - unless they're planning on moving that character over permanently... Ever since season 2, people have speculated that maybe Nick ends up as (comic spoilers)a Whisperer, so maybe it's that? Or maybe the character will be a replacement for Magna?
(But then again, a TWD character crossover would theoretically give FtWD a boost in the ratings, but the opposite isn't really true, so...)
This is where I am. It ain't perfect, and it ain't great, but the hate it gets around here is way overblown.
That poster...my body is ready.
I also binged watched season 7 and really loved the Negan character. I didn't read anything up on the past season, and now that I did, wow I guess I was one of the few who actually enjoyed season 7. I thought the whole season was great, and just loved the tension throughout the season.
Dare I say season 7 was my favorite season of the show?
Negan gets way too repetitive for my taste. He is very much a one trick pony that gets old pretty fast, IMO. I hope his character has more things to do this time then walk around and intimidate people. I never felt like this reading the comic.I also binged watched season 7 and really loved the Negan character. Did you read the compendium or it week by week/volume or whatever.Negan gets way too repetitive for my taste. He is very much a one trick pony that gets old pretty fast, IMO. Might be why he is more tolerable, because you move through him fast. Plus hes dumb as hell, where as show Negan appears to be somewhat smart at the moment.Compendium
But I can't use it! Anyway I thought the premiere was actually pretty good. Probably the best one in awhile anyway. Had a few dumb moments but hey that's Walking Dead. What did you guys think?
... guys?...
... Hello... ? ...... Oh no...
The preacher trying to save the Hillside ex mayor was laughable. A huge eye roller for me.
I haven't watched season seven yet. Watched episode one so far but I can guess how it mostly goes. Not looking forward to it
Yeah that was definitely one of those dumb moments.
Don't bother with it, skip right to season 8 episode 1. Ask in this thread for a season 7 summary (I didn't watch it either, but my dad told me I wasn't missing anything important)

Was there a reason why everyone was wasting ammo shooting at the windows in the end of that scene (right before they cut to commercials) where Rick and crew open fire? I watch this show more to laugh at it than anything and sure enough was laughing at that but figured there had to be some reason for it.
If Negan had at least had a hostage or something, at least it would have made sense that they don't shoot at him. Would it have been that hard for the writers to keep Sasha around for just 1 more episode so they could have a plausible standoff? Rather than kill her in some dumb zombie-coffin scheme that was going to distract Negan for a moment at absolute best.
She was killed off so she could go Star in the new Star Trek show.
The whole part with the picture and Gabriel reminding Rick that 'this isn't about him' makes me think they are scheming to get the rest of the Saviors to become an asset to them. Showing the Savious how Team Family is able to corner and terrorize their kingpin could maybe get them to drop their act and become a part of the whole Alexandria/Hilltop/Kingdom tradegroup which would be of value considering the size of their group. Killing Negan would probably get one of his brutes to claim they are Negan now in the same sense that killing Rick would have someone like Darryl or Michonne to go berserk.
Negan not immediately dying was dumb. Im guessing he leapt for cover the second Rick open fired.
Bad writing.
Haven't watched the first episode, but it having a 7/10 score just like the last episode of the past season doesn't bode well...
I'm guessing it's slow and boring. Will watch it soon.
Without having read the comics, I feel like the writers are trying to drive the narrative of Rick and pals trying to pull a Negan on Negan.
Negan had many chances to kill his biggest threat in the form of Rick all the way up to last season's finale. He decided not to because he wanted to break and dominate him because Alexandria can still be of value to the Saviors.

Not saying I agree with the choices made but I feel like it would make sense considering the central narrative of building up a sustainable future for Alexandria of the past few seasons.
Wants to kill only Negan but feeds one of his outpost guards to a zombie lol. That whole season premiere was fucking stupid. For the first time since the show started I went to look at comic spoilers to see if the same dumb shit happened there too. Absolutely awful premiere.Except Rick literally flat out said that Negan has to die, and that he wants to kill only him. Theres no greater plan being the reason they cant just kill him. Its simply bad writing. When plot armor becomes so blatantly stupid its just inexcusable.
