I enjoy all of these games, even if some would benefit from more fundin an bakin (as per usual in this genre...). That said, the article author is correct: after just a few hours in, I'd say Grounded 2 easily somewhere among the top. Thus, I disagree with tmlDan's sentiment. Grounded 2 is already a really good game. With a solid coat of polish, if it gets the number for even more development resources, it will likely beat the best ones in the genre.
Wanted to play more before i gave a reco, finished the EA part of the game.
This game is almost entirely broken, its mechanics are intentionally made to delay building and make it harder to gather resources (such as getting items through RNG for upgrades for your tools) and is far less fun alone.
Enshrouded, Sons of the Forest, Subnautica, Dune, Valheim, Hell even Palworld is better. Runescape Dragonwilds is also better.
This game is incredibly sub par and incredibly glitchy to the point its annoying.
Bugs randomly spawn in your base, your ant gets stuck in your house causing you to fall through the floor, your backpack falls through the floor if you die and drop it. The fundamentals are incredibly weak, nothing really works together, the water just does not auto hold water from the dew collector. I could go on, but this one is far worse than many on the market. All the science collection and you can't build anything interesting.
The Xbox games are coming. Just a matter of when. I wonder if they'll bring over Sea of Thieves, Halo and Gears. If the games can be played on Series S, the no reason they can't be played on the S2.
