I had to check what all came out this year to remember the last time I saw a movie in theaters (Nosferatu at Christmas 2024). Almost went to see "Weapons" but had a feeling it was being overhyped. A lot of horror movies get high scores lately but then don't live up to them once I see them at home. "Longlegs" last year, "Weapons" this year.
It's also hard to feel bad for Hollywood when they fudge their numbers so they can say successful films didn't make a profit to avoid paying residuals to actors and directors.
