After years of stops and stars, Tron 3 is moving forward at Disney. Jared Leto, who has championed the project since 2017, will star in the feature with frequent Disney collaborator Joachim Rønning in talks to direct. The film, titled Tron: Ares, has a script from Jesse Wigutow and will follow 2010's Tron: Legacy.
It's Morbin' Time on the Grid.

I actually loved Tron Legacy, especially the soundtrack. Really glad it's getting a sequel.

Don't have an issue with Leto being cast but he doesn't have a great track record which makes me a little nervous.

He's a good fit for the IP. I'm in. The last one was one of the few movies worth a theater visit, and the OST is great.

Story has always been whatever.

I have to respect the man for somehow managing to not only stay relevant, but also acquire constant big film roles regardless of the movie's quality.

Joachim Ronning is one of the worst directors currently in the business so there's little chance this isn't terrible.
In this case, please bring back Daft Punk one last time to make an amazing soundtrack.

Daft Punk's soundtrack was transcendent, it'd be a shame if they wouldn't get back for a collaboration if they're even asked.
Still, there are a lot of good electronica acts out there.

Without Daft Punk, I don't know why. I'm also not sure how many times you can go back to that universe which is still sorta limited.

Jared turned to Jeff and smiled like the clown he was. "We live in a Digital Society" he said before spreading his wings, flying over the pink, crippled wasteland that represented the spin-off of a known gaming forum.

(But seriously: In for more Tron - and please have good music!)

They should get Jared Leto, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Zac effron to all be the same digital character,, just one from Xbox, one from Sony, and one from Nintendo. Tom Cruise can be their older PC rendition, except he really tried to digitize himself for a full authentic stunt experience and they gotta get him back.
