Tron: Ares | Official Trailer

Not a fan of going outside the digital world and the movie also seems to be missing current superstars in the cast, so it's quite easy to predict a flop.

please be good

I love Tron, it's one of my favorite IPs, but I'm not sure how much I like this "Tron IRL" stuff. I definitely prefer that they keep all of the action and crazy stuff in the computer, unless they have a really good reason, plot-wise, that everything can fully materialize IRL.

Definitely excited for the soundtrack, though I wish it was still Daft Punk.
Your right Tron IRL is retarded and cheesy looking. Loved Legacy so still caustioulsy optimistic.....hopefully NIN delivers.

After Legacy showed that the Grid's residents could leave, this was the next logical step. Legacy was super underrated, and it's OST remains unequivocally God-tier, so I'm keen to see where this actually goes story wise.

Hopefully it can overcome Leto.

Conceptually this seems to have an interesting idea. I suspect it will turn out to be a plot-less cgifest.

No doubt I will want to see it in the cinema when it first comes out, nevertheless!

They've got the red, can we have some blue please? I love the original, the last film didn't really do it for me. I hate how it looked - teal and orange.... I guess bringing the digital into the real world is the most logical step, but in doing so it's just going to look like any other modern film, which is fine, if you like that sort of thing. Needs more Syd Mead.

It looks really bad. Run-of-the-mill CGI in real world action. Makes me want to watch the original on a CRT instead.

Should've been a sequel to Legacy.

Instead we get Jared's stupid face and random characters we don't give a shit about.

I hope this manifestation of the digital world in the real world is a red herring and that it's actually the real world being digitized as virtual reality in a computer or something like that.

There is no way you all actually hate Leto so much lol

Watch Mr. Nobody, I great movie that he does a great job in. Also has great music.

Well it looks like Jeff Bridges is returning.

Gillian Anderson is in this too apparently.

Yup, was going to say the same....wish we could have got another Daft full soundtrack.

I did like how clean/straight/angular all the PC things are in the real world. Don't know who is in this at all, need to check imdb.

*oh...it is jared leto (morbin' comment should have tipped me off). Well, he can play a good villain at least, hopefully he isn't the hero.

I checked the cast and Jeff Bridges is coming back and Gillian Anderson is in this but that's all I recognize.

He's the antihero unfortunately.

He was shite in bladerunner 2097 so really disappointed he's the main character in this, don't think I've enjoyed a single one of his films since requiem for a dream.

Tron stuff being in the real world is so stupid and the only explanation I'll be ok with is if the real world is a simulation and they are just breaking out into the parent simulation

Also red is dull, I want teal neon, give me teal

At least it's not all purple (well…from what we have seen so far anyway)!

First trailer made it almost seem horror-like when they started pouring into the real world and ripping things in half.

This second trailer has introduced some cheese to that concept, which has now put my expectations in check.

Fantastic universe that is in this game.

I hope the movie is set within the Tron universe and not in the city.

Monolith Production's best work, imho. Begged my Dad to buy ma DVD drive for this game so I could install and play it.

I am still not really sold on this movie's premise of putting the "computer" in the real world. But at least NIN seem to deliver.

Visually it looks great. Bright color contrasting with the muted real world should look amazing in theater.

I expect Jeff Goldblum to show up to insert a computer virus in the third act :P

the universe is cool, but I wish they promoted unknown actors for leads. I really want to see new faces, and these faces are not bringing anyone to the theater

It's interesting because aside from Jared Leto and Gillian Anderson, there are quite a few unknowns in the movie. If anything, Cameron Monaghan is in the movie and they could have easily put him in Jared's place as a career boost.

New trailer

Soundtrack will be trash. Should have gotten Aphex Twin, Kode9 anybody really. I'll probably skip it due to my irritational hatred of nine inch nails. The 90's ended 25 years ago and this guy still sounds exactly the same it's tired and dated.

This track is nearly 20 years old and sounds futuristic and menacing
