‘X-Men’ Scribe David Hayter Boards TV Adaptation of EA’s ‘American McGee’s Alice’ Game (Exclusive)

Hayter will showrun the action-adventure game turned series based on Lewis Carroll's classic novel 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland' for Radar Pictures.

Ted Field’s Radar Pictures has nabbed the rights to American McGee’s Alice, the action adventure game from publisher Electronic Arts, and attached X-Men writer David Hayter to do a TV adaptation in partnership with Abandon Entertainment.

The drama series, which sees EA continue to broaden the video games market with a foray into TV, will be developed as the first small screen treatment of the American McGee’s Alice franchise. Designed by American James McGee, the video games property includes Alice and its 2011 sequel Alice: Madness Returns, and is based on Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass literary property.

I thought he had a hand in writing 2 as well? A much better film.

It sucks that David Hayter has become known for everything other than his most glorious work, i.e. starring as the Guyver in the movie sequel The Guyver Dark Hero.

No I would first and foremost associate him with Solid Snake, but I knew he is credited as a writer on X-Men and had a cameo as well. I would've described him as Snake VA as well but the article doesn't mention it at all. The article is full of games, even. lol.

Yeah, that's what I found so weird, which is why I asked if it's the same guy. Seems super strange to not even mention it.

American McGee has to be the weirdest game director ever. he comes out of nowhere and releases a cult classic with Alice... then released basically only pure garbage for a while... then comes back with a sequel to Alice which was decent, and then just goes into hibernation again.
