Note hate, per se, but what makes this deal special considering all the Black Friday 250GB/200GB drives for around $60-$30 after rebates? I guess the UATA/133 is kinda nice, but unless you have a 133 controller you're not going to be able to take advantage of that speed (and I think the drive limits the speed regardless of the interface anyways).

Considering you don't have to haggle with rebates, that's not a bad price. Certainly, I've seen better deals on larger drives, but only after you do the beloved rebate dance. I've got nothing against Maxtor. They are what they are - economical drives that tend to run hotter and louder than alot of more expensive alternatives, but at the end of the day, they work and tend to get good data rate speeds.

After black friday everything seems like a rotten deal. I'm looking for a larger drive anyway. A non Western Digital drive.
