a lot of tasty options, but, wow, does she have to always go with the "grilled....cheese" delivery?

Also, uses the same music as The Dice Tower, which is funny for me

oh, and either apple-bacon-gouda for me, or the thanksgiving one.

Ha, ok, I just finished the video "Here's a reuben grilled cheese, inspired by the classic reuben".... you mean you made a reuben.

She's putting chicken and shit inside the sandwich, it's not a grilled cheese anymore
I turned the video off at the turkey and cranberry part because nothing about this video consist of actual grilled cheeses. It stops being a grilled cheese once you add something that isn't cheese.

A grilled cheese consists of only these following items. Cheese. Bread with spread (usually butter). This entire thread consist of "melts". Almost every "grilled cheese" sandwich i see on here has other items added to it. The fact that this thread is called "15 Grilled Cheeses, you can only pick one" is nothing short of utter blasphemy. Let me start out by saying I have nothing against melts, I just hate their association with sandwiches that are not grilled cheeses. Adding cheese to your tuna sandwich? It's called a Tuna melt. Totally different. Want to add bacon and some pretentious bread crumbs with spinach? I don't know what the hell you'd call that but it's not a grilled cheese. I would be more than willing to wager I've eaten more grilled cheeses in my 21 years than any of you had in your entire lives. I have one almost everyday and sometimes more than just one sandwich. Want to personalize your grilled cheese? Use a mix of different cheeses or use sourdough or french bread. But if you want to add some pulled pork and take a picture of it, make your own thread entitled "15 melts, you can only pick one" because that is not a fucking grilled cheese. I'm not a religious man nor am I anything close to a culinary expert. But as a bland white mid-western male I am honestly the most passionate person when it comes to grilled cheese and mac & cheese. All of you foodies stay the hell away from our grilled cheeses and stop associating your sandwich melts with them. Yet again, it is utter blasphemy and it rocks me to the core of my pale being. Shit, I stopped lurking after 3 years and made this account for the sole purpose of posting this. I've seen post after post of peoples "grilled cheeses" all over reddit and it's been driving me insane. The moment i saw this thread this morning I finally snapped. Hell, I may even start my own thread just because I know this one exists now.

You god damn heretics. Respect the grilled cheese and stop changing it into whatever you like and love it for it what it is. Or make your damn melt sandwich and call it for what it is. A melt.

Grilled cheese, is well cheese in the middle of two slices of bread and grilled. Although Alton Brown did one by melting the cheese before putting it on toasted bread. That looked yummy.

Her voice is really obnoxious too.

I agree that the french onion one looks good, but technically, that's not a grilled cheese sandwich. I don't think any of those are.

Too fucking complicated.

Cast iron pan. Butter two slices of bread, place butter side down in pan on low-medium heat. One or two slices American cheese.

That's it. Dress with a dill pickle slice and hot sauce if you must.

It stops being grilled cheese when it's pan fried. The clue is literally in the name.

You could have at least changed the reddit references to neogaf.

The line gets hazy when you start adding things to grilled cheese outside of slices of tomato. The craziest you can get is making it a Grilled Mac&Cheese.

Everything else is making it into a sandwich.

The normal grilled cheese.

But I will say the buffalo chicken melt looks great.

Just fill a bathtub up with caramelized onions and melted swiss and let me drown in it.

I have to try Mac and cheese at some point. I never had it before.

To me toast and cheese is cheese between two slices of bread.

Grilled cheese is one slice of toast with cheese melted on top.

the dedication to the authenticity of grilled cheese in this post is inspiring tbh

No vote for the German pretzel with salami one? Looks good but also heavy. I mean buttering the top of the bun is a bit overkill.

Out of the goodness of my heart, I'll give a pass to my sister's grilled cheese and onion sandwichs. Anything else ain't grilled cheese. It's in the name.

He's copied and pasted that from some famous Reddit post, tweaked a few things to make it relevant to this thread but yeh...what a weirdo.
