This list looks fake... might be true, but it's hard to believe. Like Nirvana, isn't that Courtney Love who owns all Nirvana material and she doesn't even want Dave Groehl and Kris Novoselic to touch it? Well, with some extra money, you never know. And Radiohead?! Anyway we'll see soon I guess.

Well congratulations! You got yourself caught!
If they add "Sometimes I rhyme slow..." by Nice and Smooth, I very well may buy this game.

Holy shit, that's a fanfuckingtastic setlist so far - it's a great musical microcosm of the era. The addition of Stone Roses makes it already possibly the best soundtrack of all time.

Only *one* thing could make it better.

If the soundtrack is for real maybe i wont have to play my own music. But it is in need of some more flavor if it has the amount of licensed tracks that VC did i will be happy.

This game looks like its fucking huge. There are freaking quads in the game too. HOLY CRAP mark me down for three copys. XBOX, PS2(2x)

I'll refrain from splooging over the soundtrack until it is confirmed.

But hot damn, does the gameplay preview paint a pretty picture.

Looks really great. I'm excited for it for the first time. Odd seeing GTA in a mountain/forest setting instead of a urban setting.

Throw the MA track onto a full triphop station and that'll be my most played station in SA. It's looking like a great soundtrack so far though.

Hitman

Edmonton's milkshake attracts no boys.
SWEET CHILD O MINE. OH HELL YEH.

And Bitter Sweet Symhpont, Smells like Teen Spirit to a lesser extent.

I still want to see some trance on it though.

Personally, I think the rap needs to be an all West Coast affair. I couldn't see the Fugees in it. That said, where the feck are....

Dr Dre
Spice 1
MC Eiht
MC Hammer (Yeah I said it beetch. He went multi-platinum in the Bay area alone)
Souls Of Mischief
Pharcyde
Ice Cube
Ice T
Dogg Pound
Fuggin' Nate Dogg
Domino (Ghetto Jam and Sweet Potato Pie were flukes, but big)

Edit: oh and Calder....Maesto's Conductin' Thangs was/still is the shit.

Second Edit: How could I forget 2Short, Digital Underground, 'pac?!!?

Pop
Vanilla Ice - Ice Ice Baby

Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit
Jane's Addiction - Been Caught Stealing
Guns'n'Roses - Sweet Child o' Mine
Smashing Pumpkins - Today

Rap

Snoop Doggy Dogg - Gin N'Juice / Ain't no Fun
Fugees - Killing me Softly
Coolio - Gangsta's Paradise

Indie
The Verve - Bitter Sweet Symphony
Radiohead - Creep
:D I've been humming Bitter Sweet Symphony a lot lately. I'd thought that band was completely forgotten at this point.

At first I thought "wow, great tracklist" but after a minute I realized I'll have to switch stations every time they're gonna play Today, that song is way too beautiful to have on regularly while playing GTA. I'd hate it if I'd get bored of the song...

Hey, Nate Dogg's on Regulate. :p

I dunno about Fugees on a GTA OST, though. It's a great song, to be sure, but um...how would I driveby and fuck people up to it?

I still want to see some trance on it though.

Trance when it was trippy > "Drance" from 97-present

What's the exact year this game takes place? It'd be nice to have some old skool rave as well... breaky stuff like Prodigy's "Love".

I don't believe this list is official, but only because it's SO good that it has to be some sort of wishlist instead of the real thing.

I hope I'm wrong.

And that's from the late 90's right? How is this making an early 90's soundtrack?

Is this just a wish list of songs that the writers of the mag wants?

Was just thinking the same. If that's in the game, it's set in 1997 or after, simple as that.

This accompanied with I Love the 90s makes me happy to have lived throught he decade. Also don't forget the AFI NIN song.

Needs some TLC though. I'd go for some TLC. But I think Push It will suffice for now.

I've just seen (scans of) the article, and this information is nowhere to be found.
Also, it states no music has been signed up for it so far.

The tracklist is fake, it's nowhere in Play magazine, neither has it been reported in any site.

Wow, that is a great list of songs. But, why the hell Them Bones by Alice in Chains and Cop Killer by Body Count aren't in this list? C'mon Rockstar, put that songs in the game, please!

This list can't be real. I have seen the scans from Play Magazine and there is
no single word about the soundtrack.

Also no one at the three biggest GTA Forums has ever heard of this list. And no
hardcore GTA site is confirming this.

So I think this soundtrack list is fake.
