‘Half-Life 3’ Fans Are So Convinced It’s Getting Revealed Soon, They’re Tracking Gabe Newell’s Yacht

I don't know, this looks like it might be some kind of hint

crazy behavior.
So...where is his yacht now ?
If you click the link it shows you where it is. It's a little weird. I don't know if this is some global maritime tracking system or it's just based on sightings. Would be a little weird if it tracks it globally at all times. Imagine somebody could track where you go in your car.

Well, whoever these fans are, try it again next year? Lol, seriously though, what did the voice actor mean at the end of last year? Odd.

Ah well.

Gabe Newell's Yacht gets attacked by ... some... group of pirates. The security system on the Yacht kills them all... everybody online freaks out and think's its' the start of HL3 viral marketing...

This is just straight up creepy.

I think I'm gonna add HL3 beggars to the vegans of gaming list alongside From Software fans.
Silk song fans
Half life fans
Bloodborne fans

Cut from the same cloth. Desperate mother fuckers strung along for eternity. Pathetic subhumans.

Lol at people tracking some rando guy's yacht because they're jonesing for their next crack hit.

There's a fuckton to play out there too which makes it even more bewildering and hilarious rofl.

I swear I hear this every few years. I remember the whole hype that turned out to be half life alyx.

I don't think HL3 would even be as big as people think and I think that ship has sailed long ago on the market that would have even given a fuck about that game...

They have not kept up with remastering the games on new platforms to keep them relevant and clearly have not kept up with releasing new games for anyone of the current install base of gamers to even care.

Being known and a meme, doesn't always translate in to mega sales. Thats like thinking MILLIONS of people knowing what and who Pac Man is, magically means a new Pac Man release will beat GTA 6.

Does the active install base of gamers care enough about the concept to buy the game? That is a bigger question then recognizability and I think some rose tinted gamers will be in for a rude awakening if HL3 ever even releases. The vast amount of gamers today that are buying COD in record numbers, many of them were not even fucking born when that series was relevant lol

So being a meme or a joke around every game event may not be enough in this regard.

On one hand i agree. FPS SP market is tough. Also look at Shenmue 3 for example, so much begging and hype for nothing.
On the other hand Alyx was extremely well received so maybe they still have the talent to pull it off.

Thats fucking crazy! I was actually going to bring up Shenmue 3 in my original post as an example of something known, old, released and didn't do well. lol I see we were on the same plane of thought regarding that.

With Alyx, I agree, that has done really well in the VR space and found a great audience

As per my previous post in this thread, I never believed or cared. But I think it's incumbent on Valve to shut down the rumours if they have no intention of doing HL3. If they haven't because they're "kicking around ideas" about HL3, they need to stop deluding themselves and can it.

Pretty sure if this game were to exist, Valve would just release it without a prior announcement.

I'm sorry, but I hope it never sees the light of day so the memes can continue forever.
