It's a real shame too, since with some changes at the design level the game could have been an instant classic.

I'm usually not for using "Fast Travel" but I thought FC2 really could have used it.

I dont have a problem with the malaria thing in FC2.

Its issue is all the travling and stupid amounts of patrols in the way.

You can replace Far Cry 2 here and it would be what I thought about Assassin's Creed, but I sitll enjoyed it for what it's worth. I bought FC2 and will eventually play it.

Supernatural is freaking amazing on so many levels and I
highly recommend GAF to watch this show.

I dont see how anyone could enjoy farcry 2, seriously...

Heres an example. I went in to a town towards the end of the game and killed over like 50 motherfuckers, and right when i get back to the save house some asshole in a chevette hits me and kills me.

Seems like you never die on missions just during the miles of driving in between them.

Someone I work with is raving up The Shield. I'll look into it. Generation Kill is available on DVD next week, too. It's a Simon joint, so I expect greatness.

I feel the same way. FC2 seems awesome for the first 2-3 hours but after that the good starts to be seriously overshadowed by the bad.

Between the guard posts that respawn as soon as you lose line of sight and the jeep drivers with x-ray vision who like nothing better than running you over the game really gets to be painful to play. The second map has even worse travel than the first one.

I'm assuming John hasn't played that far into the game or he actually likes dodging instakill jeeps.
