In Lukes defense, Killzone 2 got demoed to some degree at GDC (and supposedly a few of the seconds of that demonstration was multiplayer footage according to a Guerrilla employee).

This 1up yours was great. Bryan should fight to the death with Mark in order to decide which one of them is to be 4th chair. Both would be excellent additions.

But I kind of missed Phantasmagoria in the "Most Disturbing Game" discussion. That game freaked me out.

I hope Bryan wasn't leading us on, because I am now REALLY excited for NCAA 2008. One of my most played games yearly and he made me really hyped for it.

Also 2k Football is gonna bomba.

and for the Call of [something-ez] talk early on, Red Dead Revolver or Oddworld Stranger are the 2 best western games (Wild Guns if you include pre-PS2 era).

Well we don't get to hear what he might have said. That's what he said and I don't remember him making any effort to correct or clarify his statement, so all we can do is take it at face value.
 
I really don't like the way that Bryan dismisses things so finitely, he's not very open minded. It's annoying on EGM live too, when he goes on about "that shit's for babies" without checking a single screenshot or any information at all. For the most part he's okay, but when he switches off like this he becomes annoying, as everyone else is very open to listen to other people's viewpoints.

Yeah I was very stunned to hear Bryan go on like that too. I had made up my mind to not get NCAA this year and take a chance on APF, now I'm not too sure.

Well I was never that big on APF to begin with, but everyone around here seemed to be kind of meh on NCAA this year, but he made it sound like its really good. I'm a huge college football guy so this is really exciting to me.
 
On NCAA: I was most excited when Bryan said that you can finally run the ball effectively. I'm a big fan of the running game, and past versions of NCAA were just unplayable on the ground. If your blockers block now, and don't mesh into one big blob in the middle of the field, I'm a first day purchaser.

I was also excited to hear them talk about Strangehold. I loved Max Payne 2, and it's good to hear that someone is extending that type of game into the new generation in a proper way.

I think there was some miss-information or confusion on the 1up side of things there.

They probably saw that they got an invite to a "private" showing and jumped to conclusions.

And I mean seriously...you have to admit that its not going to be another Gamecube now, right? I mean in a few months its going to be halfway to the Gamecube's lifetime worldwide totals

I certainly get his point, but I think in the end he's just flat out wrong. No, third party sales aren't great, but they're healthier than PS3 and I have a feeling RE4 is going to raise some eyebrows when June NPD hits. For his thesis to be correct, by the end of the year no one in Japan or Europe will buy the Wii anymore since it will have reached GC levels in those regions.

I recall him saying it was a fad that was gonna die soon. He might be right on the fact that nitnendo games sell on it. Hes not on the seccond.
