2 years ago on May 15th, Juan Soto hit a time traveling Home Run

Juan Soto made his Major League debut on May 20th 2018. He hit is first Home Run on May 21st, 2018

Or did he???

May 15th 2018. Nationals played the Yankees. Play was suspended in the 6th due to rain, tied 3-3.

Game was resumed on June 18, 2018 but record keeping logs all stats as May 15th 2018.

So Juan Soto hit a Home Run against the Yankees on May 15th, 2018. 5 Days before his MLB debut... The Time Traveling Home Run.
It was touched!

Good for the Nationals and good for Soto. Not sure why he's more slept-on than Acuna Jr. I'm a Braves fan, been one since the days of Chipper Jones and I'm still happy for the Nationals. They deserved to win, solid team effort all around. Looking forward to seeing the Braves and Nationals vie for supremacy in the NL East.

Robles was considered the Top prospect everywhere except within the organization, Soto was #2.

FYI Soto started in A-Ball in 2018. Promoted to Advanced A after 16 games. Promoted to Double A after 15 games. Promoted to MLB after 8 games (Nats had bunch of injures)

He never went back down.

Yeah, I remember Robles being THE guy and then Soto sort into the picture and established himself as the premier player for the Nats (I guess you can argue Straus still with his postseason performance). Soto seems to be a better career bet than Acuna Jr but I could see Acuna having some monster years with his ceiling being so high. His speed is really something else but his strikeouts are way too high and his bat speed is going to worsen as he ages. I hope he can change his approach in the future because he seems to be benefiting a lot on physical skills and those always wane.

Acuna is a monster. Comparing him or anyone to Soto is tough right now tho.

Everyone heard Soto had "Advanced Eye" but I think everyone (myself included) thought it meant for his age, or his level. Nope lol.

Scary to think how much better they will be in the future.

Soto just seems like the safer bet to me but yeah, hopefully, they all just stay healthy and play full seasons. Baseball seems to be the worst with taking away potential HOFers.
