Joe said:the yankees might actually not make a move. from what ive read they wont make a trade unless teams demands go down because as of right now they're extremely high.
- rangers offered soriano for wang and cano yankees said no, rangers then immediately cut off talks with yankees.
- A's for kotsay would want cano, 20 year old CF melky cabrera (who could go from AA to AAA to MLB in less than a month), and 19 year old SP Philip Hughes. (both were first round picks).
- jason schmidt? same group of players.
Mrbob said:Nationals come in to town today with their smoking hot ace. Good thing we have Prior to go up against him today. It's a shame we are going to have to stop that winning streak of the Nats and put them on a 3 game losing streak!
Mrbob said:Damn it.
We lost a game we should have won. If this team could play smart for once we would have many more wins!
captmcblack said:...fucking A's. GIVE US KOTSAY OR BYRNES YOU BASTAGES
Mrbob said:We will win the final two games against the Nats. This I guarantee.

Guess which teams are doing well?
ERA
Atlanta: 2.875
Cubs: 3.744
Astros: 2.414
CWS: 3.05
Astros easily have the best threesome and by far have the best one two punch with Oswalt and Clemens, just like last year.

Instead of having four players from each league, the commissioner's office said Friday it will have eight players represent their native countries at the July 11 event. Major league baseball plans to formally launch plans that day for its first World Baseball Classic, a 16-team event during spring training next year.
This year's Home Run Derby is at Detroit's pitcher-friendly Comerica Park, where the All-Star game will be played the following night.
The top four players in the first round advance to the semifinals, and the top two in the semis move on to the final.

Go Yahoo! I agree. Jays suck. Go Bosox! I hope we sweep these motherfuckers and the # of bandwagon fans wearing Sox and Yankees hats in Toronto decreases overnight. The Blue Jays are lurking in the AL East and they could make up some ground on the first-place Red Sox with a good series in Boston. On the other hand, if Boston plays well, the Sox will put Toronto, which trails by six games, in a deeper hole.
The Red Sox are still hot (8-2 in their last 10, 13-3 in their last 16), but it's just amazing to me that the Blue Jays won't go away. Toronto will be tough to sweep Roy Halladay is pitching Sunday.
Who's hot: Matt Clement. The Red Sox right-hander will pitch Friday and is 9-1 on the season with a 3.33 ERA. He has won three straight starts, yielding a combined four earned runs and striking out a total of 22 batters in 22 innings.
Who's not: Gustavo Chacin. The Blue Jays' rookie left-hander hasn't won a game since June 6.
Marquee matchup: Halladay (11-4, 2.40) vs. Bronson Arroyo (6-4, 4.21) on Sunday.
Prediction: Red Sox win all three games.
