Bet on who finishes higher in the standings this year? I'll go in with every Reds fan on this bored vs. every Astros fan. Actually to make it interesting it looks like there are a lot of NL Central fans in here, so lets put everyone in on it.

No, thats ok, because I am pretty damn sure that by the end of this season, the stros will bottom out. I am just taking shots while I still have the ability ;)

Shit I have more confidence in the Stros' than that. I bet its going to be a toss up between 4 teams minus Pitt and Milwaukee down the stretch. Put some money up, all we need is a fair intermediate to colelct and not spend. $5 apiece.

You red fans that bored that you all have to start acting like Cubs fans?

griff is at .364, 0HR, 2 RBI, 1 run

pauly's at .429, 3 HR, 6 RBI, 4 runs.

and pauly doesn't have an injury history longer than the illiad.

Dude I always have to have Griffey, its a compulsion type thing. He's gonna have 50+ homers anyway. You'll see bitch!

We told you your team sucked

:lol

Who's ahead in the standings?

:lol

Its the Reds typing up a waivers form for Rich Auril-pieceofshit-ia.

dude made some great plays in the field.

If gameday is right Dunn just hit one about 430 feet and got a flyout for his effort.

Willy caught it on Tal's hill about halfway up, IIRC.

And Houston pulls more shit out of their ass,

An almost-HR double + Willy's speed = BS? riight. Wilson with the RBI single...If Roger's single is BS then so is that.

Fuckin great game. My friend and I kept pullin for Luke to get our first HR but Baggy's 1st row Crawford-Boxer + Lane's left- center porch blast were definitely sweet enough. Franco made Griffey look horrible again somehow...GREAT play by Biggio on Griffey's lil blooper/liner...put a blue star on that baby. Lidge with the win...Garner sure had confidence in his guys to score in the bottom of the 9th after not double-switching in Lidge when he was coming up 2nd...WILLLLLLLYYYYY T!!!!! We were joking about Viz hitting a walk off HR when he came up...he was a few feet from one heh. Willy is BLAZIN'.

GO ASTROS

Beltran looked soooo bad tonight. 3 Strikeouts. 0-5. Bad defensively. He didn't even try to leg out singles. No effort at all.

The entire Met team looks like it has given up already. Good job Randolph and Minaya. :lol

Guys, it's ok. God hates the Mets, this is just what he intended. Pedro is going to collapse into a pile on the mound, weeping hysterically as John Smoltz strikes out 27 straight hitters and then goes yard on ol' Paydro. And I'll be there!

You heard it here first, folks!

in other news, steinbrenners race horse destroyed the other horses in a race today by almost 18 lengths and tied a track record. his horse is now a leading favorite for the kentucky derby.

is there nothing this man doesnt succeed at? everything he touches is a smashing success. lets take a look...

new york yankees - greatest and most successful sports franchise in the world. period.

yes network - home of the yankees, the nets and all of the games, plus multi emmy award winning series'. it is the most watched sports network in new york topping fox sports, and is the most watched regional sports network in the entire country.

new jersey devils - became the principal owner in 2000 and the team went on to great success including 2 stanley cups under his control.

new jersey nets - became principal owner in 2000 and under his control the nets went on to 2 straight nba championship appearances.

united states olympics - in the 2002 olympics, under steinbrenners control the united states athletes won a US record 34 medals which was double their previous high.

so in short...steinbrenner is a sick bastard.

im gonna feel bad for willie if they dont start winning soon. anyone else see willie fuck up a double switch the other day?

LIsten to the stros and reds fans take jabs at each other. I'm just gonna kick back and enjoy the laughs as the Cubs make their march to the top.

Fuckin Brazoban! Fuckin Choi! Fuckin Dodgers!

P.S: Brazoban U THE FUCKING MAN!!! CHOKE ON IT GREEN! WOOOOOOOOO!

P.P.S: Drew Reedem yourself with a Single!

sierra going deep. at least something positive came out of the game today (i know they won but still....) hell, even steingrabber's horse won today.
edit: you NL central boys need to chill. or not. it's kinda fun actually. :D
edit2: poor willie randolph, his team is all hype and ........ well it's all hype really.
edit3: i dont feel sorry for mets fans. they talk too much. can you say 1-8 start? or 0-15 like the cubs had a few years back? i can. the mets didnt improve themselves were they needded to last year. that blast by brian jordan proved it to me.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

KEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENT! :D

Kent is the man. I wish the 'Stros had been able to hold onto him, especially after watching how much success they had after the All Star break.

I'm pretty choked Brazoban blew the save for me, but why couldn't the Dodgers at least get a few runs in the 10th to get him the win? My freaking team has ZERO wins. Sickening. I'm also annoyed that my other closers' teams had big leads and didn't get into their games.

edit: oh wait Braz did get the win. Well that's something at least.

Yeah...Oh well, I love our young outfield. Glad to see Kent is still clutch [most of the time], though. Hidalgo having a good start...wonder how long that'll last.

Willy batting .600...heh...and how bout Lane .467/.438/.800? gotta love early season stats.

edit: I'll be glad if/when Phil puts Willy leadoff [Everett 7], switches Ensberg/Lane, and drops Ausmus to 8th.

I love how all these experts were putting the Dodgers in the bottom third of the league at the start of the year and now we're one of three teams with 4 wins. Sure, it's early.. but it's a sign of things to come -- count on it! :D

damn, pavano just got a ball hit off the side of his head. it hit off his head when he was on the mound and nearly landed in the stands past 1st base.

it took torre less than 3 seconds to yank him out of the game, he walked off under his own power but he definitely had to mess something up, that ball was blasted off his head.

it feels like an extension of the 2004 season. yankees making average/below average pitchers look like aces.

Sucks when Smoltz goes 7.1 IP without giving up a run and strikes out 15...and the bullpen gives up 5 fkn runs in the 8th.
